I have a technical question about the so-called “hack:” I can see the “Welcome to Clemson - To continue The CLEMSON Username Setup Process please enter the following information from your acceptance letter” message. However, when we enter the XID number from the “application complete” email, we get the “unable to determine your acceptance status” message. I assume those who have already been accepted get a different result after entering the XID/CUID number? My D applied immediately on 8/1 with pretty good OOS stats (32 and 4.05 UW) and no news yet.
Yes, if you input your XID and it prompts you to put in a code on your application packet that has meant you will get an acceptance packet within the next week, but at this point they are probably waiting until closer to Feb 15th! Good Luck!
@SDC9160 if you are seeing a message that tells you to enter a code off of her acceptance letter, then your daughter is in. Your acceptance letter will give you new code. Congratulations!
@4n2yrs From reading last years thread, I don’t think it changes at all from the “unable to determine” message. I could be wrong… I’m preparing as well…
Mine still says Unable to Determine… Thinking it means I won’t be getting in
Let’s not give up hope yet! Although this is a small sample, no one has posted that the hack has worked recently, right? Also, I believe, it did not work for everyone who gained admittance (can’t remember if I read that earlier this year or from last years thread)! Granted, seemed to work for most but not all if I remember correctly. Although I’m preparing, keeping a chin up that it all will work out for the best.
It’s too early to judge based on the https://studentonboarding.app.clemson.edu/# response.
Last year, applicants heard around Feb 12.
Typically the response on the studentonboarding site changes 5-7 days before. They must do it right before they start preparing the letters to mail.
Around Feb 5 or so, I’m sure some on this forum will be able to say that the response to them entering their CID on the site changed from the “Unable to determine your acceptance status” to the enter the code from your acceptance letter.
When you hear about others getting the message, try it yourself. If your response remains the “Unable to determine your acceptance status” reply for several days after and doesn’t change, you were not likely admitted.
But again, it’s too soon.
@SDC9160 If you can see “enter your activation code from acceptance…” then you should be getting an acceptance letter. That means your packet is on the way. No need to enter the actual activation code – that is a separate code that is in the acceptance letter. I got my packet 8 days after I noticed the hack change.
Last years thread had people noticing hack changes around Feb.8-12. If they were denied, then their hack status just never changed and they got a small white envelope in the mail the week of the 15th.
The majority of acceptances have NOT gone out yet so don’t lose hope until closer to the 15th.
We don’t know if the hack works for everyone. On this forum though, this year its been accurate.
These comments are starting to depress me!! Come on everyone, stay positive until you have a final decision! I would be willing to bet that over 50% of the students who are accepted have not received their acceptance letters yet AND have not had their status change in the “hack”.
I agree with you! ^^^^^
We will all be finding out very soon! It’s sure been a long wait. Good luck to all awaiting decisions.
does clemson give deferrals? or is it just waitlisted or rejected?
Clemson does not have an early action program, it is priority, so I do not believe there are deferrals, just ACCEPTANCES, waitlists and rejections! Good luck!
So I sent my application for priority (clemson’s early action) and heard back relatively quickly. I heard back early December, and as far as I know, I was the only one in my school that did. It mentioned that I also have a scholarship, but it would not be known until feb. Has anyone else received an acceptance from them early like me…does it mean anything to have heard back from them so fast…? Does anyone know when within feb will the scholarships be specified? not trying to flaunt…just curious because a lot of my friends applied and have similar grades and test scores but have yet to hear back…
Ok so I’m really stressing out if I’m gonna get into Clemson or not. I’ve got a GPA of 3.6 and a SAT score of 1150 (which is average score of CU students according to US Dept. Of Education) but everything I read shows scores much higher than mine. I’m also a OOS student looking to major in architecture which makes everything seem so much harder. Anyone been accepted yet with similar stats?
@Branmattwill I have not seen an acceptance with those stats yet. But from what I’m to understand the only kids who hear before Feb are the higher stat kids. The majority of notifications will go out in the next week or 2. Good Luck!!
@clemsonfan101 I don’t know if this is considered a “deferral”, but some students last year were admitted for spring term instead of fall, effectively “deferring” them a semester. But there aren’t any deferrals as far as a later admission announcement date.
If i applied yesterday (late I know lol) when should I hear back?
Hi all my son has a GPA of 3.6 and an SAT of 1250 live in Philly and the high school is a really tough prep school. What’s his chances
He applied in sports communication and undecided please let me know what his chances are! His sat is in 50% and sat is average from his high school!
