*GPA is average from high school to get accepted from Clemson
My daughter got acceptance to Clemson a month ago, but still has not received a letter/packet in the mail. She also submitted Honors College application but hasn’t heard anything on that yet.
@jackoneil1029 it’s hard to say without knowing his class rank. You may want to read through last years class of 2022 thread around the February time frame to see if you can gain any insight. It seems that OOS students have a harder time gaining admission. It seems that rank is important, and if his school doesn’t rank, a high GPA and test score is the golden ticket. That thread may give you a good idea. Good luck to him!
His school doesn’t give class rank… and is sports communication hard to get into for Clemson?
Chance me
GPA: 3.6
SAT: 1250
OOS
Major sports communication
High school is really tough known to be hard it’s a college prep school
I have done many EC as I played basketball and did service in Philly and traveled to Puerto Rico. I have my own website I write for based on sports and many more EC
Please be realistic what are my chances. Will I get accepted differed or denied or am I just in the bubble
Thanks

@jackoneil1029 I believe it is one of the harder majors to get into.
Does anyone know when Honors College decisions will be released?
Any more status changes?
No status change for my daughter yet
I guess the last round will be next week before final admissions wave.
@matraze @josmom Honors college decisions come on Feb 15th by email. They follow a link to find their decision letter.
@Baxter126 My daughter applied to honors college months ago. Still has heard nothing and the hack has not changed. Getting a little stressed out for her. Is there a separate site she should look at to see the honors college decisions on February 15? Any guidance would ease some stress for sure. Thank you!
Clemson notifies by mail.
Based on last year, it’s possible they might be planning to mail this Friday. (Check out their 2/10/18 Instagram video post)
If that’s the case, the onboarding site might inadvertently give applicants a clue later this week.

If when you enter you C ID, it still says “Unable to determine your acceptance status,” you are likely denied or waitlisted and will probably be informed via a small white envelope.
If when you enter you C ID, it prompts you to enter the code from you acceptance letter, that should be a clue that you were accepted (but maybe not to your requested major) and will probably be informed via a large orange envelope that says You Are Tigertown Bound!
It’s still too soon, so don’t panic yet. Try it later this week, and even then, don’t be concerned if it hasn’t changed for you, if it hasn’t changed for anyone else.
Or just patiently wait for the mail.
Best of luck to all those waiting impatiently for the mail over the next week and a half.
For out-of-state students that have received a letter of acceptance with scholarship (and who know their class rank) … the net price calculator has been updated to reflect what I presume to be the 2019-2020 scholarship amounts. According to this, scholarship amounts changed this year. Will be good news for those who earned near perfect scores on tests. Others will be the same or lower compared to last year.
@josmom your daughter will not hear about Honors until right before Valentine’s Day.
Dang that really stinks that they made it much harder to get a scholarship to his year @xn3mom looks like I probably won’t be going to Clemson now
@xn3mom Thank you for sharing that.
