Clemson Admissions - Class of 2023 DISCUSSION

Regarding postage type, it reads in the stamp area
“Non-profit Presorted U.S. Postage PAID Clemson, SC Permit No. 10”

My guess is that this is lower priority mail and that’s maybe why it is taking sooooo long to arrive. The postal service gives discounts on postage for mail of this type.

I’m confused so do acceptances get sent priority and rejections sent regular? That does not seem morally right to me

Are Clemson decisions only snail mail or also email? And shouldn’t they hear today?? Friend’s daughter waiting!

I don’t think anything gets mailed priority - all bulk mail.

My DS attends a very competitive HS in southern NY which doesn’t use class rankings. It doesn’t make sense to me to hold that against an applicant. If a HS doesn’t rank, there’s nothing we can do about that. I’ve looked at the Clemson decision thread, and some applicants were accepted with considerably lower stats than my son, and some with better stats. Just won’t know until we know.

Accepted,OOS into the Business program. It was sent in a large envelope, via non-profit presorted us mail…inside letter is dated 2/6.Top 10% of a large class at private Long Island high school, 1380 SAT, well rounded and an Eagle Scout. Good luck to those still waiting!

Anyone know the status of california notification???

Accepted OOS as a pre-business Major. 3.9 GPA and a 32 ACT. Looking forward to meeting my (possibly) future classmates!

Congratulations to those accepted and to those who will follow a different and better path for you!
My two cents on one whose been around Clemson traditions and seen hundreds of kids attend. I think it would be sad to see the notifications switched to a portal and the end of the Tigertown Bound envelopes. It makes Clemson unique. It’s part of the branding. They have long mailed letters around February 15th (with a smal portion going out early). We’ve watched kids for years wait for the letters and enjoy running to the mailbox or parents intercepting the letter and surprising kids too. It’s a great part of the “Clemson Family” tradition.
Clemson has always been clear that this is how they do it so it’s not a surprise for the applicants to know they’ll be waiting on the mail. Many colleges notify about this time of year so they aren’t out of step in their timing. Of course it’s hard to wait, but there’s nothing wrong with stretching and growing our patience.

FINALLY… 1166 posts after my original one starting this conversation… we have THREE TIGERS!!! Two sons were accepted via Bridge and daughter into nursing via regular admission. We are so blessed and grateful. Thank you to all who supported me on this long, arduous journey!!!

Completely agree @Baxter126 . Information regarding when notifications are sent out , how they are sent and scholarship information is clearly stated on their website. The info is there if one looks for it. I understand waiting is hard, but IMO these attempts to find back door ways to find out admissions results does nothing but increases anxiety and spreads inaccurate information that helps no one. Complaints about Clemson weighing rank so much are unnecessary, especially in regards to distribution of scholarship funds .How they distribute their funds is clearly stated on the website. The CDS also identifies what Clemson values for acceptance . It is very stats based. GPA, test scores, rank and rigor. ECs are barely considered if at all. I understand being disappointed if your child or you were not accepted, but I don’t understand the need to complain about a process that is clearly stated on the website. My son was Bridged, most likely due to his test scores. The rest of his application was stellar with stats higher than quite a few people who were accepted. We were expecting this outcome because we did our research. I won’t criticize the school’s process because we weren’t accepted directly.

@4n2yrs Congrats!!!

Great news @4n2yrs!!! I am so happy for you and you kids!!

@Pumpkinlily I’m from North Jersey with the same major and haven’t received anything yet either :frowning:

@4n2yrs Over the moon happy for your triplets and you!

@silverwolf11 thanks for the response. Let’s see what tomorrow and next week brings

@4n2yrs Congratulations! So happy for your brood!!

If the notification process is indicative of the administration of the school, I am not impressed at all. Smh

@camcam2022 why is that? It clearly states applicants will be notified by mail on Feb 15 th. What have they done wrong?

Nothing yet in CT. Nothing in informed delivery.
