Clemson Admissions - Class of 2023 DISCUSSION

@brentwoodmom Thanks! We checked and were able to see it.

I received my Tigerbound envelope in the mail today. Admitted to animal science but have to begin in the summer. I have a trip planned with my grandparents for their 50th anniversary that would make me miss 3 days and not sure if that would be permitted by Clemson. Anyone have any experience with this program other than the details on the website?

@Pumpkinlily What major did you apply to and what were your stats? Was there a specific reason they chose a summer start for you?

@kgracey17 admitted to animal science/vet science. 4.0 GPA, 14th out of 177, captain of 3 sports for junior and senior years with multiple state and conference awards, President of NHS and French club, volunteer with special Olympics and animal shelter, 8 DCs, 4 AP, 11 honor classes, but only 1220 on SATs. That’s what kills me, my SATs. ?

It’s so strange that Clemson wouldn’t just bridge you or waitlist you. Was animal science still your first choice major? Maybe they wanted to give you the option of still getting into it

Decision came in mail today. Wait listed - not what we had hoped for.

Does waitlisted come in big tiger bound envelope or little white envelope? @RMSqueencat

And did ur hack work or not @RMSqueencat

Decision came in mail today as well, waitlisted. Nursing major, 1290 SAT and 4.1 GPA, school does not rank but very competitive high school

@Collegehornet11 No it didn’t work, but my son had interviewed about a week earlier for the Audio Tech program. Applicants had until 2/8 to interview, so I had hoped that decisions hadn’t been made for that particular major and that’s why the hack didn’t work. I never checked the hack again after the first time.

Waitlist decision comes in a small envelope.

@collegegirl0303 did ur hack work or not?

@tiger2019 My son was waitlisted as well. Based on CU’s Common Data Sets, in 2017/18, 2,649 applicants were waitlisted, 924 accepted a place on the waitlist, and 876 were admitted. In 2015/16 they took almost everyone who accepted the waitlist. However, in 2016/17, they only took 3!! That seems really strange. They also rank waitlist applicants. All of this info is on their website.

@RMSqueencat - do sorry to hear a wait list letter was received. Keep following up on phone with admissions though as I did read on some other thread that some have subsequently received acceptance letters.

@TheMetz Thank you. Some years they take most from the waitlist, other years, hardly anyone. So that just means more waiting for us. What was the other thread where you read that some subsequently received acceptance letters? I want to be as well-informed as possible. Thanks and good luck!

Any key get anything in Illinois? And has anyone been accepted without their portal changing?

Waitlisted OOS 3.6 UW, 1410 SAT , honors, 4Ap, extracuriculars excellent, leadership positions yes.

@SweetFreedom I betting zip codes because all of his friends got them the same day too, and all are different majors!!

wait list arrives in little envelope and the hacks did not work

@carolinamom2boys well today is 2/16 and nothing in email or the mail. The hack process is not reliable and seems the school should revisit that as well. Daughter applied last year, accepted in a timely manner and awarded money. This year’s process seems a bit messy.

Son accepted into Engineering. OOS Illinois. Stats posted on other…
