Clemson University Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Anyone heard about merit aid yet? They said March and today’s the last day…?

Nothing yet, though I suspect my son might hear something later this afternoon once school is out or early evening.

They removed wording from the portal about end of March Aid timeline from my son’s portal and no merit announcement anywhere. I will update here if that changes.

Read on Facebook (posted today) that “On the Clemson parent page, someone posted that they called today and the office is hoping for the end of this week.” and “My son went to a Clemson event last week and was told they pushed the release out by “about two weeks”. Quite a few people sound frustrated and moving on from Clemson. It’s too bad that this hurts them.

My daughter just received an email from Clemson saying that the financial aid award packages would be released later today.

My son just received his merit award. Clemson must be rolling these notifications out over the course of the day today.

Did you have to log all the way into iROAR to view the merit aid or was it provided in an email?

Edit: we logged into the system and were able to see it. Got O/S scholarship and a small major-specific scholarship, but unfortunately not enough to offset the difference (i.e., gaping chasm) between in-state and out-of-state tuition. Good luck everyone!

He had to log into iROAR to see it.

EDIT: We had the same experience. O/S scholarship that isn’t significant enough to move the needle on cost of attendance in a meaningful way.

My son’s is actually showing up in his portal now, thankfully, because something was wrong with his Duo Authenticator. He got O/S academic merit award of $10,000/yr For those who come looking for next year that’s with a 1540 SAT and 4.0, UW. Not enough for us either to bridge the chasm. Didn’t think it would be, but it’s hard to know for sure how things will change from year to year. D24 was offered $8500/yr with 32 ACT and others in my son’s range were around $10,000 so similar to the cycle two years ago. Good luck to everyone as your families finalize plans!
