My son’s was in his portal just now. Thanks for the heads up.
Congrats to him. Does Honors appeal to him ? Make sure he reviews the offerings. Many kids simply apply to Honors but all are created differently.
It’s a fine get. Congrats to him.
My son was accepted - his sibling is at Clemson Honors and it is worth it. I think he would use a lot more of what they offered than their sibling has.
Yes, Honors would appeal to him. He has cousins in the Clemson program and they have loved it - priority registration, like-minded kiddos, etc. I’m going to have him look over everything. Thank you!
Daughter was deferred for honors. 35 ACT and 3.96 unweighted GPA. Must have been a heck of a competitive pool.
Did anyone notice major and minor button got removed again for deferrals in the portal?
We see the same. Could it mean anything this time?!![]()
what does removal of buttons usually mean?
we don’t know. just noticing it was removed. the last round everyone’s was removed so it didn’t indicate anything! just curious if this round everyone’s is removed again or if some people still have it!
My best guess is that they are starting to read and decide based on the majors to which students applied, so that’s why the option to change is gone.
Haven’t been on this thread in awhile. OOS journalism student 4.1 GPA, service hours, varsity sports, community involvement. He applied to 7 schools in the BIG 10 or SEC. He got directly admitted to 6 and deferred at Clemson. But really loved the campus feel, so we’ll see what happens. If not it could be University of South Carolina, Auburn, Uni of Indiana, etc
For Journalism, Indiana U, not U of Indiana, is highly rated for although that matters little in the field.
Clemson, by the way, is neither in the SEC or Big 10 but in the ACC.
