Clemson University Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Agreed. This seems like a more generalized or “bulk” action since no one has commented on still having the button/link.

I’m sure the portal signs mean nothing, but they sure are a fun way to pass the time!

South Carolina just released EA for IN state students. Wonder if Clemson will follow. Everyone is surprised since it is way earlier than expected.

Portal no longer taking any changes other than withdrawing…is that the case for everyone?

That is what ours says…we are OOS and anxiously waiting

My DD’s Edit Term buttoned disappeared 2 days ago, and now all buttons gone. Only option left is Withdrawl. She is OOS.

Same. Never saw the Edit Term button but we may not have been out there if/when it was there…

Same

Also same. OOS.

Also same, OOS.

OOS. Same. I spend a significant chunk of time the other day reading/obsessing about these buttons

We are OOS, last year the buttons disappeared and my child was deferred and then accepted in RD and was test optional. Buttons just disappeared for my D26, legacy, 1580 sat, 4.0, NMSF, ranked 1/414. She is aiming for honors college. So far no difference between last year and this year as far as button differences. Hoping for 12/11. The waiting is so hard.

Mine still has withdrawal option. OOS.

My kid had edit term and major change buttons a couple days ago. We are oos. Now it’s missing. Wondering if everyone’s buttons are missing?

Yes, we have the withdraw button left also.

In 2023 there was some evidence that there was a ‘glitch’ in the system. Some students noticed that their ‘buttons’ had disappeared while other students still had their buttons. On decision day it seemed pretty consistent that those without the buttons were admitted and the others were deferred or denied.

Clemson admissions must have caught wind and corrected there error because last year EVERYONE had their buttons removed at the same time. There was no way to predict the outcome on decision day.

It does seem that the buttons have ‘disappeared’ earlier this year? Hopefully that means they are getting closer to releasing decisions? Dec 11th would be better than the 18th! Last year very few kids were accepted at the EA decision date. I was told that the admissions department had been overwhelmed by the volume of EA applications (over 40,000). This year they have a better understanding of what’s coming, I think.

Good luck, everyone! Go Tigers!!

Everyone we knew that applied last year EA heard back about their acceptance in December. (Out of state!)

Clemson has only had EA for a few years and tends to have a lot of deferrals. The good news is that a deferral from Clemson is not assumed to be a rejection

D26 just got the what to expect from admissions email. Last year this was sent on 12/1 with a follow up email on 12/9 telling students what to expect on 12/12 for decision release. Looks like it’s going to come out 12/11 this year based on this timeline.

If anyone knows, is the Honors College decision released at the same time as the early action decisions? Or is that a separate date?

Great to know … thank you for sharing!
