@meagan_allen i ordered one because we live in BA. But if you google it you will find numbers to call. I tried to leave the website here but I couldn’t send.
@beach4us google tigerbound sign and you should find it. Free if can pick it up. But we live in Virginia, so we have to have it shipped. Sorry, I tried to add the website but it didn’t work out.

I don’t think application date is a factor. My OOS daughter applied the week they were due and got accepted.
Apparently some students lost “button” access to term enrollment and withdraw application on their portal several days prior to others. It appears that the majority of those who lost access to the buttons earlier were admitted and the others were deferred.
Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. I was just curious.
Same for us - My daughter was deferred in-state UGA and accepted at Clemson. She has a friend with similar stats who was accepted UGA and deferred at Clemson.
We had the same at our school (in GA). It is interesting.
We are in GA too. My kid got flat out denied for UGA and was crushed. Accepted at GT, but my kid hates the campus and vibe there.
Seems like all our GA kids are applying OOS!
Holy cow! Accepted GT (which is better academically) and flat out rejected at UGA??? What is going on??
Insane right! Not even deferred! My son had many friends with much lower stats get into UGA at his school! I do not understand the process at all. I made my son apply to GT, he only wanted to go to UGA. His dad and uncles all went to UGA, only school he wanted to attend in GA.
That is horrible. I think there is an appeal process. Unbelievable
Is there? We received a very frank denial, said literally don’t apply again, try the transfer in route. It was super insulting. My son has worked so hard for last four years and he was very depressed from this rejection and threw away all his UGA gear.
We have been trying to get him excited about going somewhere else. He applied RD to Emory, so hoping he gets in there and we can use the Hope/Zell to pay a portion of it, but that is a reach school.
What were his stats?
4.3W GPA
1420 SAT
2 sport varsity athlete all 4 years
leadership, volunteer, etc
10 APs (including Calculus, Statistics, Physics 1, CS, Economics Micro and Macro next semester, US History, some ELA class I can’t think of the exact name, etc)
I would call admissions and find out about the appeal process and let them know your son was accepted to GT. Something is just not right.
Thank you for telling me about that! I didn’t even know that was an option!
That does not look promising at all, “chances of a successful appeal are miniscule”.
My kid didn’t have the highest stats by far, but we felt he was safe for UGA, or we thought.
My son has been almost grieving being denied by UGA and is finally seeming to accept it and has moved on to the last stage of it.
I think we will just let UGA go. We are trying so hard to move forward, I don’t want to get his hopes up. I thought maybe there was an official appeals process, I am reading this as, “you can call us, but don’t actually call us” lol.
Getting deferred by Clemson was depressing, but hoping he gets in…
He wants to stay close to GA. but not a GA school, so we applied all around us. We are still trying to get him to consider GT, because in state…
