Clemson University Early Action for Fall 2024 Admissions

I see lots of people mention that about aid… does that factor in ? We won’t be applying for aid as we do not qualify .

I really don’t know, and I was being honest, only seeing the posts about it afterwards.

OOS, high stats with test scores, both buttons are gone. However, we don’t have the announcement on our portal that Lagoon36 mentions about the dec 14 release date. We got the email(with the overly fun thumbs-up tiger because it’ll be a come down for the deferrals or rejections after seeing a “here’s looking at you” tiger meme) but no mention anywhere on my D’s portal about this. What will the crystal ball reveal? lol

What is the second button we are talking about being missing? I thought it was just the edit term button. Is there another button we are analyzing?

Edit term and withdrawal application

We are in state, Top 9% of class, 3.9 UGPA, TO.
Lots of clubs and volunteering.
Both button are gone from portal.
Thurs cannot come soon enough!

We have the edit term button. OOS. TO. Applied to RT as a major. I would say it is a reach(ish) as TO, more likely when we send newest scores. Her #1. Did ALL the things in the app: letters of rec, essay, personal statement, allllll the things . She’s in Auburn.

I could be wrong but arent you an automatic admission since you are top 9% and in state?

Just to add to the fun…son is OOS, 34 ACT, 4.6 W, 4.0 UW, many xtra curriculars, athlete, leadership…he doesn’t have the “buttons” anymore. You never know and I’ve been thru this process before, which sometimes leaves you scratching your head. Good luck to everyone!

I think the Top 10% is automatic for USC. Not sure that Clemson went that route. If anyone has heard differently, please let me know.

Ok Ill play for those who don’t have normal GPAs. My D is 95.5/101.1 OOS TO and her button is still there and its very hard not to see that as a bad sign.

same here-we have the change term button but no withdraw application button. OOS, test optional. 4.2 weighted, lots of extracurriculars (sports, job, volunteer work) a little over 1/2 classes taken since freshman year are honors with only one AP (currently taking). We know that Clemson is a reach for us…

3.7 weighted GPA OOS and withdraw app/change term is gone for me. Definitely a reach, so not sure whether to take it as a good or bad sign?

I will say one thing I love about Clemson is the fact that they admit by majors. A lot of schools dont do this and they should. Ive heard that the nursing program is super hard to get into at Clemson but other majors not as hard. So Im hopeful that they are looking at my child based on other students applying for her same major. She wants to be a teacher not an engineer so her stats arent going to be like that of someone that was val or sal at their school going for an engineer degree.

Both buttons gone for me since yesterday.
OOS
3.9UW/4.4W top 5% of top public school in upstate NY
TO
travel teams for softball and volleyball (captain for 5 years) lots of volunteer
The waiting is agonizing!

I think that not having the buttons might be a good thing. I am oos and very high stat (1520) and don’t have any buttons.

I really don’t like myself for the crystal balling, but I need support, so here goes

Oos, TO, 3.91 uw/ 3.92 w
Good, well-known public school with a track record.
Good ECs (did not cure a disease or start a business, but good)
Good essay & LORs (I have my doubts any of it was read this round)
Demonstrated interest to the hilt
Accepted EA at Indiana & one other solid school with some scholarship $ (thrilled about that)

The Edit Term button is still there.
I’m worried. Why? If a strong candidate were to be accepted, it would likely be for fall, right? Why would they need to edit their term?
On the other hand, if an applicant is rolling over to the RD round, their application is still active, and they might want to edit their term.
That said, I do seem to remember checking Summer Start after hearing great things about it. So maybe it relates to Summer Start. This is just my not-very-healthy thoughts as I ruminate and wait. Pure speculation.
