I did not have a student apply last year but I believe others said the edit term button disappeared Monday night. Someone who knows – check me on this!

Did the major buttons disappear before getting deferred or accepted?

Correct. My son lost his Wednesday (the day before admissions were released) around 3pm along with everyone else who didn’t lose it early. We figured they hit a mass deferred button to those left.

My daughter went through last years chat and the first person that posted about edit term missing was at 7:23pm on December 11th (Monday before decisions on Thursday).

My daughter (in-state) applied EA. We’ve been nervous as heck since I discovered this thread and learned about Button Gate from last year.
Now that the days are upon us and we are checking by the minute. LOL

Someone on the Clemson parents Facebook page called admissions and they said Thursday around 6 pm.

I don’t know. The Auburn EA1 GPA-gate was enthralling, as we didn’t know what we were actually hoping for … GPA or no GPA. We just knew one was good and one wasn’t. We couldn’t definitively determine which we needed to hope for until after the EA1 decision release. But now EA2 and EA3 know what to look/hope for.

And that was what? If you saw your GPA, you got accepted?

If your GPA populated in the portal early in the week, you were accepted. If it was late on the day before the decision release (Thursday) or the day of (Friday), you were deferred.
