So does that make you feel like it’s later this week or next?
Same question
To recap some portal astrology, we think the withdrawal app button will disappear the week of decision?
Well I am a UNC Tarheel fan and was super happy that the Clemson basketball team did beat Duke, but today also UNC was beaten by Clemson
Bad season to be a Tarheel fan
We don’t have tuition numbers for 2025-26 yet, right? Does Clemson lock in tuition?
what an incredible game! Football at Death valley is quite an experience too
So hard to tell but weird she told my daughter mid-February instead of like the other admin rep said February 20th. Really hoping we at least hear the exact date this week I know we are all going crazy with anxiety over the wait. My son was accepted EA two years ago so this wait is weighing on me since this is my daughter’s top choice.
My oos daughter’s tuition has gone up every year, I think last year tuition stayed the same for in state.
Yup definitely a tough year for Tarheels. We were visiting another school in SC that I will not mention on this board Son is a Duke “fan” so I got tickets so he can see Duke and his friends at Clemson. It was a fun game, games like that are why he wants to go to a big school instead of a small LAC. Our Clemson admitted student day is in late March, so we will see how he likes the actual school instead of just going to the games!
So I see housing opens Feb 14. Would they open housing and then not give decisions until the following week?
Housing selection is months away, my daughter accepted in the end of April, before housing selection (which is based on how early you applied).
Looks like just the housing contract opens tomorrow. Room selection is not until late May and students are assigned a time slot to choose.
We are actually hoping for Summer Start and we are OOS!
I mentioned to my daughter that Clemson decisions may come out this week. She snorted. She said I’ve moved on from any school that deferred me. She said everyone at her school knows deferrals are basically soft rejections and they are holding you just in case they don’t get those amazing kids in the RD round. There were so many deferrals this year the kids are over it. I think the schools are doing themselves a disservice. She said she would rather be denied then deferred, at least let us move on. She is usually a pretty optimistic person so this was a surprising take from her but I get it. I talked to other parents at a swim team banquet last night and they said their kids feel the same way. I guess it works out for the schools with increased applications etc so how it affects the students doesn’t really matter.
Does anyone have any information on living in CUBS?
My D will be in the business school.
Is it an appplication or do honors get first crack?
Are they integrated into the rest of the freshman class?
That’s a shame, Clemson has only been doing EA for a couple of years, most are deferred, many are excepted at RD. Maybe they should eliminate EA and stick with RD.
That is exactly how my son two years ago felt. He ended up being accepted from Clemson after deferral, but had already been accepted to UF by then which he is attending. That year Clemson didn’t release RD until March so at least they moved up the decisions earlier. But a lot of students were pulled off waitlist that year at Clemson. This year my other son is 85% sure he will go to Auburn, but he still wants to see the fallout from his deferrals (Clemson & UGA). So many of his friends were deferred from multiple schools this year! I think they are all just over it and want to make their final decisions considering they submitted applications so long ago. Love the school that loves you!
My daughter was in CUBS, she felt it was worth it, but she didn’t apply to honors until fall of freshman year. Since she applied really late, one reason was because she would’ve been one of the last to choose housing. They live in douthit, I don’t know if they can live in the honors dorm. Keep in mind CUBS and honors are $1000 a year. My daughter also believes honors is worth it.
I sure hope decisions come out this week!! Our patience is waning. DD deciding between Alabama and Clemson. Most everyone she knows going to Alabama have already paired up with a roommate. I received email from Bama last week to sign up for mandatory freshman orientation this summer (Bama Bound). I’m just so confused by it all. DD had 33 on ACT, 4.25 GPA while being duel enrolled with local college for past two years, captain of cheer team, Senior class VP, in a class of over 750 students. And deferred….
same experience here with my son. plenty of time for housing
