@jellygirl2 could you please share which Facebook group/ page? I haven’t been looking there. Thank you!
I’m opposite in that I follow so many, I’m not sure which one it was. It was a class of 2025 or parents of seniors 2025 type of group.
I saw this too. Said it would be delayed a week.
I also saw someone say that Bridge decisions come out in March. Idk how that happens if they already give you a decision in Feb. here’s a screenshot of the group and comment.
I applied RD and just noticed this for the first time today
Big win last night over Duke in men’s basketball. Couldn’t help but notice that my son is wearing his Clemson T-shirt today. I supposed decisions on where to attend have been based on less
My daughter decided Clemson was her school after visiting, said all the girls looked like her (somewhat true), she’s been loving going to basketball games this season.
My son got accepted to Engineering OOS but is on the fence because of the tuition. Does Clemson offer merit-based in-state tuition for OOS students, any pointers from past applicants?
EDIT:
After a bit of Google search, I see that it has been discontinued at Clemson
Undergraduate Discontinuation
Effective for the 2024-2025 academic year, the Academic Common Market has been discontinued for undergraduate students. Undergraduate students admitted for Fall 2024 and beyond will not be eligible to receive the ACM waiver.
No, I think in the past $12,000 was the top amount. My senior has received otger merit awards, probably from her department (finance) and she’s been applying to senior scholarships.
ACM has been d/c’d at Clemson. But it was never merit-based. It was a reciprocity program and OOS students could apply for ACM status only for programs offered at a participating school if that same program/major was not available at any institution in their home state.
Clemson says on one of their web pages that their merit based recruitment awards can include “in state tuition” for OOS students.
However, anecdotally It does not seem that many students actually get that. Clemson’s lack of transparency regarding merit awards is quite stressful IMO.
my son was in the student section at the game (and of course on the floor afterward). it (school happiness/spirit) certainly did contribute to his decision
they offer scaled merit scholarships based on GPA and/or SAT/ACT thresholds. a couple of years ago the cut-off was around ACT 32/SAT 1400 and the max went up to 11 or 12K
I don’t see anything about scaled merit based on GPA and ACT/SAT scores but that would be great if that is still the case.
My daughter just heard from her admissions rep and was told that all decisions including bridge will be coming out mid-February not March 1. Hoping that is the case. We are almost there but the wait is killing me!!
for what it’s still worth (and I know the thresholds have changed), this was posted on the class of 2027 thread a couple of years ago. I was following that thread at the time, for S23 (class of 2027). That year, my son had a 1360 SAT and did NOT receive merit. I recall hearing that the minimum threshold had changed to 1400 (or equivalent ACT ~32). Message #23 or 24. You are NOT alone!!!
Has anyone ever seen what it looks like if you receive a Bridge invitation? I’m very curious about the wording.
It just states it in your admittance portal. My daughter is already at Clemson, and we are waiting to hear about her brother. From what we know over the last few years, it SEEMS that more in state are offered Bridge and more out of state are offered summer start. If you are offered those, that is your only option. Clemson won’t change it to fall start. It’s a take it or leave it situation.
Thanks, very helpful. I hope they have something similar this year. We were in SC this weekend and I took him to the Clemson/Duke game and to visit his friend there. Clemson might have jumped up a couple of spots
