Coca-Cola Scholarship- 2010-2011

@Jashton - last night there have been a lot of conversation about you. You will be thrilled looking back at last night’s messages. Good luck!

Oh thanks…I will…

Oh, and I am a guy! Name can go either way, i know…! lol

best of luck to you as well

I’m in Oklahoma and due to 33+ inches of snow in the last week and a day, I doubt I will get mail. : ) TRUE! We’ve only had one mail since FEB. 1st.

After reading ALL these posts, I’m pretty sure I won’t be a contender. I have passion for people and for serving others that stands out HERE but I am truly humbled by all that you have posted.

We’re the same here in RI…we’ve had three blizzards in the past two weeks…not much mail coming in or going out i’m afraid…

Oh well…will continue to think positively

@SayTrueWords: Where ya from? I am in Stillwater!
And I doubt we will get it before Friday. Realistically, we will probably learn by email before we get the letter. I think we will either get the mail on Saturday or on Monday.

Yay snow (blah! I have to go to school after graduation!!! It sucks. but oh well!)

I’m pretty sure that Coca-Cola is handling this like they did the semi-finalists. They are allowing ample time for the snail mail before making their official announcement which will apparently be in a press release on Friday. I’m sure that will be when the website reopens their links.

PoStorm - I’m FROM OK City but live north of Tulsa. I grew up a proud OSU fan as my mom grew up in Stillwater. My great grandpa worked at OSU for the Department of Agriculture. I have a TON of family there. However, I bleed RED. My mom and dad went to OU. (Do you know the Miles family? Colasacco or Short?)

Nothing in Kentucky where I’m from today.

I know Debbie Short, the high school chemistry teacher (and niece is Hailey Short and I forgot her daughter’s name).
I don’t know about Colasacco, but I know a Bethany and Ben Miles.

And my dad actually works in the Department of Ag. He is in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering.

Fun! My mom grew up attending church with Bethany and Ben’s dad’s family. She hoped to run into them a couple weeks ago when we were there for my little sister’s NCDA All-Region Honor Band concert but didn’t.

Are you from Owasso or something?

And I had quite a few friends in NCDA. If you are from Owasso, we might know some of the same people!

I made it in 7th grade, but never really tried for NCDA after that.

; ) Did you print the semi-finalist list or something? HA!

I looked through it, lol. I remember there being a girl from Owasso (I believe)(And is that you?). And I went through a few of the people on facebook to see if we had mutual friends, haha.

Not that I am a creeper or anything.
Then again, who doesn’t creep on facebook on occasion?

for those of you that received invites to be followed by cokescholars, how did they get your twitter account name? just curious

Oh yeah, I also guessed the fact that you said north of tulsa and that your sister was in NCDA meant that is was more than likely Owasso (since Bartlesville is the only 6A school north of Tulsa… but Owasso is the only one in the North-Central district).

@Jashton, I have no idea how they found me. But I do know that I was following them before they began to follow me. Its just a request, I dont wanna make anything out of it right now. But in the back of my head i keep asking myself, why would they add me? Does it mean anything? Do they only follow scholars? Oh well, i guess it doesn’t mean anything until I receive my letter.

@carlitosboy…I think it’s very encouraging! I’d be psyched if I were you!

fingers crossed for you…you’ll do great!

OMG I just got a letter! I was afraid to open it, but i did… I am a finalist! Watch my reaction!!! [YouTube - COCA COLA.wmv](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

Thank you coca cola! And I wish the best of luck to everyone else. Remember like I said, It was really discouraging that I had only done around 80 hours of community service a year… I guess my essays got them! Good luck everyone! I live in Tucson, Az.
