Congratz! And btw guys, what was your last essay question (the 500 word one)? One of my friends is a semifinalist and we just realized we had different questions for the last one. Mine was “What sets you apart? Discuss accomplishments, characteristics etc that will help Selection Committee know you better” and he got “explain how you will incorporate this into the legacy you want to leave” Did anyone else get either essay?

i got the same one you got

@Jordan Ashton

Wow, you’re an excellent singer!!

I got the What sets you apart one. I sort of didn’t really address the question though and talked about my interest in astrophysics… Whoops.

I travel to Federal Way 2x/wk to train with my USATF running team…so close to Renton. Congrats again!

ashc123: Fingers crossed that we both end up in Atlanta. :)

Cruel and unusual is right. I nearly sewed my fingers together during class because I was thinking about this. Lol.

@PoStorm - I served two terms as Print Press Editor-in-Chief for the Lewis Convention and returned (after the editor quit) for the Clark Convention. I also served two years on the Board of Advisers and will come back next year as the Program Coordinator for Print Press. I don’t think we travel at all but you are more than welcome to add me on FaceBook. Just search Chris Dzurick.

After writing all these essays and short answers, did anyone else feel weird about it? I don’t know how to articulate this, but I’m sort of a shy person so I really don’t like listing out my accomplishments and life story to others. And talking about myself makes me feel like I’m just boosting my own ego. The whole college/scholarships process has been very strange for me. I guess that’s why I like the anonymity of forums like this one. Sorry. This seems like a non-sequitur.

I didn’t get a new password in my letter.

Been reading this thread but haven’t really posted. Just wondering: for those who got it already, if you click forgot password, do you get the new password (anniemay said: “your log in name is the same but the password is newly generated”) or do you get your old password that you created?

That might help us tell who got it and who didn’t?

edit: never mind, if you don’t get a new password

@Chrisdz
Added.

@tonerre: I know the feeling. That is a problem I have in interviews… I feel like I am flaunting my achievements.

has anyone who got it already tried to login??

@vpancakes: I tried and I still can’t log in. However, my password retrieval showed my original password.

@steeplechic
the password retrieval (on the alumni part at any rate) isn’t working…

This is the login for the finalist.

earlier matlas brought up that maybe if we tried the “forgot my password” thing and got a password, maybe we got it. i tried it and got my original password but couldn’t login. they tried and just got an invalid…i’m a bit hopeful right now

I got my password through retrieval, too, but I dunno. That seems like way too much of a stretch.

Getting the invalid user/id but it did send my password to my email…

it does. i’m going crazy over this so any glimmer of hope is enough for now

Then again, it is possible that the three of us are finalist…

Man, I am over the glimmer as well, lol
