Coca-Cola scholarship

i didn’t make it, but one of my best friends did. he is a senior, and i am fairly confident that this list is current.

Yeah, it is this year’s list because my name is on it. It is confusing cuz it says 06-07. I dunno why, maybe they just put the wrong year on. But it is this year’s list.

Haha, maybe they’re still adding to the list? angelic smiley face

I’m really hoping for a miracleeeee

i would be ok with that. :)

i assume they only do one semifinalist per school?

Yep, my name is on it as well. It seems like they only select one person per high school. Is this true?

well, nobody from my high school got it, so…

why only one semi-finalist

no, there are schools with more than one (look at Oklahoma)

I didn’t make it :(

I’m one of three people from my school who made it!

What’s the next phase of the process?

How selective is to be named a scholar?

My school has two people: me and another girl. And for those semifinalists who also got their letters, has anyone figured out how to get to the forms and stuff on the website. The letter only said to go the website and the forms will be there, but I can’t seem to find any of it.

my name is on the list and I got my semifinalist letter!
It is DEFINITELY this year’s list

But I can’t find the forms either… I don’t think they’re up on the website yet

I didn’t make it. Oh well.
Man, what did you guys have to do to be semifinalists?

My D received the congrats letter yesterday and later that evening she received an email w/ links to the Forms. They are not on the website yet.

hey, my brother just got his acceptance today – just to clarify that is this years list…two people, my brother and my good friend, made it, both names are listed — so it is definitely this years list…and there CAN BE more than one person per high school…CONGRATS TO ALL!!! im excited!

both of them had ACT’s above a 30, top 10 (one’s salutatorian the other is 6th in the class of near 300) in the class – AP classes of 5’s and 4’s…both presidents and vice presidents of numerous clubs…hope this helps anyone see who got in and who didnt…(both want to go to ivy league school…)

oh – and for anyone who didnt get the forms…check spam…my brother’s were in the junk mail – LOTS to fill out…GOOD LUCK!

Yea, I would imagine a stellar academic record combined with a high impact extracurricular profile would do the trick. For example, I have taken more than 15 AP classes, near perfect test scores, and perfect GPA. In addition I am very politically active, do a lot of inner-city volunteering, and pursue science research (got Siemens, Intel, etc),

The person from my school was 2 inthe class… ACT 23 SAT 1780 President of three clubs and has done some cool volunteering… just goes to show that its not all about test scores when it comes to the big scholarships… Ohh well…ima keep my fingers crossed for Horatio Alger!

OH! I found the forms! They send you an email and it has the links to all the forms. The email actually got sent to my junk mail, so be sure to check that if you can’t find it!
