"Code 97 Delay" on AP Gov Score

Hi!

I’m a rising senior and I just got my AP scores back yesterday. Though I got a 5 on Environmental Science and Comparative Government (which I self-studied), my AP US Gov score has a “code 97 delay”. What does this mean? Will I get my scores? Will I still be able to get an AP award? (I also have 4’s on World History and Human Geography). I self studied AP Gov, so if I don’t get the score, will it just go away, or do I have to retake it? I want to be a political science major, so I’m a little sad that this score is the one that got delayed.

Thanks!

“Although most scores are available in July, a small percentage may not be. Some scores take longer to process due to late testing or other special circumstances (for example, late arrival of testing materials or extra time needed to match your records). You will receive an email when your delayed score arrives. If you don’t receive your scores by September 1, contact us at apstudents@info.collegeboard.org or 888-225-5427 (toll free) or 212-632-1780.”
