No decision from Colby yet… just got into GA Tech though and I’m so happy :). Hopefully I get good news from Colby as well!
Nothing from Colby yet. I believe students need to be moved off-campus by today, so I’m sure they are still focused on that. Hopefully will hear this coming week
But does that have to do anything with the admissions office though?
Considering it has usually been third Friday of the month, it might just be the 20th.
@goldmidnight7 , I suspect that everyone, even admissions, has been involved in the move-out, which is a week before scheduled break. It seemed like they were originally aiming to “shelter in place” and that this was a relatively abrupt change in plan.
They have students working in their office. They know the visa situations of international students. They have upcoming tours and interviews to cancel.
They may be trying to mobilize students on campus for a good virtual revisit day.
None of us can say.
You will no doubt get your decision soon. As a prospective student, you should be reassured that if you were a Colby student, your needs would be a priority.

Hang in there! My son is a junior, this week has been a bit chaotic. The students had to move out by yesterday. Since I also have another child a different university, I can tell you that this week has been exhausting for all – I can’t even imagine what the administrators are going through. Best of luck, and I really hope you are admitted to this amazing school.

@Waldo755 while everyone waits, I personally would love to hear why you thought Colby is a great school with some specifics. Not just everyone is so friendly or helpful or anything like that. which I think reflects more of the reporter’s personality more than objective observation. And besides what is in wikipedia, of course. Thanks!
Do we think it might be tonight? Or later this week? If they were almost ready on Friday but not quite it seems possible that maybe tonight. So nervous!
I tried calling the admissions office but i keep getting transferred to the voice mail. Is it because they are closed? but isnt that strange bec today is Monday and they should be open.

I called as well, and had the same experience. They message said that you could also email them, so perhaps we could try that? I’m hopeful that we can get an update today!
if we do get the update, based on the past years, it should be up in an hour and 20 minutes. i hope that happens!!
@Tmomma2 but don’t you think that if they are closed, how will they release decisions today?
@significant11 While students moved out yesterday, I believe that professors and staff are working this week to transition to online learning, etc. The school is closed next week for spring break, so my guess is that decisions will be announced sometime this week. Good luck! My daughter’s first year was great!
