Coldplay Viral Videocam Oops

I was told by someone who is one person removed from Ms Cabot that she was separated from her husband. He is apparently one of the Cabots as well.

Wouldn’t a CEO and any other employee be in a reporting line?

I worked for a large US company. There were about 1000 employees at the home office and about 9000 in offices and branches around the company. At first many people were married or dating other employees but it became a problem. It isn’t only with the couples having conflicts, but with the supervisor or one having an issue with the department another worked in. We made a new rule that if two people got married, one of them had to resign or after a time period (6 months? 1 year) there was a formula and one would be terminated (I think it had to do with time employed, rank and grade. I think if they were married on the day the policy went into effect, they could both stay (but it still caused problem within the company. And yes, some of those problems were when one department partied, someone flirted too much, and ‘word got back.’

My secretary happened to be married to an IT guy. She was a lovely person and a great secretary. He was an a$$. Of course, she left (another attorney left and offered her a job at the new company because she was a great secretary).

Some of the branches only had 5 employees. It causes a problem when two of them are in love and then not in love.

It’s good for business - no question. Had any of us ever heard of them?

Interesting post on the consequences of us always potentially being under surveillance:

I will be eternally grateful that there were no phone cameras and CCTV when I was young and dumb. I didn’t even do anything all that controversial, yet I still wouldn’t have wanted the whole world to know me by my worst day or poorest choices.

I was happy to go away 3000 miles for college. When growing up in Honolulu as one of 7 kids and a father & mother who were pretty well-known, everywhere I went folks would say for me to say “hi” to my folks or siblings. I’d smile and go home and say that another stranger said to say “hi.”

Can’t stand Gwyneth Paltrow but Astronomer did a great job with this ad and she did a great job presenting it. I thought it was a hit.

Or, CEO’s have an obsession with her.
