That’s one of the best memes I’ve seen today. But - as a life long muppets fan, I can confidently say we all know Miss Piggy would never cheat on Kermit and Fozzy Bear is her gay BFF

I don’t know if I can post Facebook videos on here, but this one from Corporate Kitty Kat is a riot. Redirecting...

I was there! It was quite the moment. Don’t pity either of the cheaters. Fantastic concert though!

Poor Chris Martin. Earlier in the show he goofed and said something about being in Canada and what a great country it was. Later he joked that Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon were coming to beat him up :rofl:

I guess I’m the only one who isn’t entertained, as I can see a number of reasons why someone wouldn’t want to be on camera. Don’t think this would have been a thing if Chris Martin hadn’t pointed it out. Fortunately this isn’t a case of someone hiding from a threatening person, has mental issues or is in the witness protection program. Sure, one can expect to be on camera at a concert, but usually not long enough that anyone would notice who you were.

I hope the woman who ducked out of the picture is okay.

Isn’t this a thing also commonly done at sporting events? At least that is what Modern Family has led me to believe. I would personally hate to be broadcast on one of those big cameras, but I think it is a fairly established practice? I believe the Simspons also had an episode about this.

It’s a pretty common occurrence at sporting events, concerts and the like. The video was barely longer than 10 seconds. They looked like they were a couple fully happy with each other and with the concert - why wouldn’t the camera land on this attractive for the camera couple?

Yeah, I think it is fairly common at sporting events. I wouldn’t be one who would like it, but I would fake smiling. Most people love the camera and dance and enjoy it. But my question is not that the camera landed on them, it’s Chris Martin pointing out the reaction for the world, that is, if I understand what happened correctly. I’m not one to ever broadcast someone’s discomfort, if I was running the show and saw someone who was uncomfortable and ducking the camera, no way would I point that out.

I think it wouldn’t have gone viral had the couple not behaved the way they did once they realized they were on camera. It was their own reaction to seeing themselves on camera, that caused the immediate speculation that something was sketchy about their relationship. Acting like they had something to hide was what caused the attention, otherwise Chris Martin and everyone else in the stadium would not even had a reason to notice anything. And it wasn’t Chris Martin that pointed it out to the world, it was someone who was at the concert and filmed the robotron who then posted about it. The fact that the guy was CEO of a billion dollar company and not just some random guy helped it go viral.

Anyone going to an event with a robotron knows they have a chance of being filmed. Heck, I have seen my own kids on ESPN in the crowd while watching their college basketball games at home. I even saw my sons on TV at the Masters this year (however, never would have found them on my own until my husband told me what hole they were sitting on, right by the ropes when Rory Mcilroy was putting).

I feel awful for the innocent parties, esp his kids, but sadly, it is devastating to families whenever a cheater is caught and friends/family find out, even when it’s not viral.

I get that, it was their reaction that caused the interest, but I guess I’m just not amused at the internet making fun of people lately. You never know what people are going through, and how these tiny moments in time can end up shaping people’s lives. Fine ripping on the CEO if he’s a jerk, but there are other people involved, maybe kids, who knows. Just wanted to put in my two cents here. Now if it’s a certain politician ya’ll want to make fun of, well, I’m a hypocrite and happy to jump in on the sport. :grinning:

I have no sympathy for the cheaters, but my heart breaks for their spouses, children, and families.

The cheaters got their 15 mins of fame. Yes it’s sad if the family breaks apart but good for his wife. Others seem to take it.

Speaking of sporting events and kiss cams…
