College Choices for Average Student?

I agree with Cheers’ post #78. I know a young man in a similar situation who had GREAT results at Regis University in Denver. Regis is a Jesuit College. There is also Springhill College in Mobile, Alabama.

Check them out!

Looking back at the thread, a year ago (when it started), khart’s stepson was a Junior in HS. I wonder what has evolved in the year since she has posted???

I’d like to know too. Also, weenie, where did your friend’s son go or is he still working at a country club? Jaybee, how is your son doing? Donna101, can you share an update on how your D is doing? jmmom, do you have a stepson who attended UNH? If so, how is he doing? I have heard some good things about UNH.

I think that these are very typical male STATs and stories.

Cheers: what a great post! I’m interested in what you say about the Jesuits. My family is informed by Unitarian/Jewish/Quaker values, but I would never write off a values-based college, especially in this day and age. I have a daughter who I sense will really thrive once she gets into college – I’m going to search some Jesuit colleges here in New England. All suggestions most appreciated!
