I had my chemistry and math finals today. My chemistry exam was pretty straight-forward. The exam had the same exact material from the previous three exams that we took. The numbers for the problems were not even changed. My math final was way easier than I expected, so I think I got an A on that as well. I just have to go back to the campus on Wednesday and take my kinesiology final, and I’m not worried about that one.

I was really nervous for both of my finals today even though I had a decent idea of what to expect. I’m glad 2/3 of them are over.

My final English essay is due on Wednesday. I finished it a while ago. The semester grades are due on Friday at the latest, so I don’t know how my professor is going to grade those essays in two days. She’s a very slow grader.

I have an Environmental Science final tomorrow (half is take home which I’m doing now…) and an American Studies final on Thursday. I also have a research paper in English due next Monday… (literally two days before Christmas Eve); but I’m not worried about that because my English professor is an incredibly lenient grader and he told me that he was pretty certain I’d be getting an A bar me passing in a McDonald’s wrapper for my final paper.

I never had a Facebook (or any other social networking site) - so I really only watched college admissions season as it happened through College Confidential. It was a lot more exciting than my own high school where literally one kid went to Yale and everyone else went to UMass Amherst.

My roughest day is tomorrow. I have to finish my take home final tonight and then do the second half tomorrow. After that, I have two other finals (take home and in-class) - that are both relatively easy/tame, and then a 6 page research paper. This semester flew by and then it literally came to a standstill the week before winter break.

That’s how I felt about fall quarter! The weeks zoomed by and only slowed to a stop during exams week. Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.

I kind of hope the following quarters/semesters will go by more slowly, though–being 1/8th done with college is a weird feeling.

I’m not feeling nostalgic yet, but when the end of the spring semester comes around, I will be reminiscing about last year. I’ll be thinking about how excited I was about graduation and leaving high school. I’ll be happy not to be considered a freshman anymore, too.

I’m so excited. I just checked my grades, and I got a 98/100 on my third English essay. I’m so proud of that because those are HARD to get! My 94 just went up to a 96!

I finished the damn take home final for Environmental; I stayed up all night and now its done. Its done. Free at last. (Well, at least from Environmental.)

I just finished my last essay and revision project for English. I just have a final tomorrow afternoon, and then it’s time for a relaxing break. I will be working more, though, so my bank account will be happy.

@NewBeginnings3 - Our classes ended last Friday. The semester is supposed to end officially this Friday (the 19th) – and grades are submitted on the 24th (or 26th, not sure) - I don’t have to physically hand it in though, so that’s good I guess. I just have to email it to him.

When does everyone go back to school for the Spring semester? My classes resume on Jan 27th. College winter breaks are fan-friggin-tastic.

January 27? Holy cow! I go back Monday, January 12. At the same time, it’s sort of stupid because we have a full week of classes and then have the following Monday off for MLK Jr. Day.

I’m happy with the length of the break, though, because I always had to go back to school on January 2 when I was in high school. That was rough.

Yeah, I was amped when I found out that I get almost all of January off.

Our semester finishes on May 13th - I think finals are the week after - so everything is done by May 20th. My school’s administration takes pleasure in keeping us in class for as long as possible.
