College Class 2018

So I have to enroll in a graduate course through my school’s English Department for the TA program. (I am a Political Science major… taking a class for the MA in English program… I don’t even know what’s going on in my life.)

I had to alter my entire schedule completely.

I now am only taking classes on TuWTh.
I have no classes on M or F.

4 day weekends. Every week.

Does anyone’s school have restrictions on undergraduates taking graduate classes? At the university where I took dual-enrollment classes, undergraduates are allowed to take only one graduate course per semester. I like my current school because they don’t have as much red tape. Once you get there, you can take whatever classes you want and major in whatever you want.

I’ve been changing my schedule all summer. Right now I’m not allowed to change it because the incoming freshmen are registering for classes, but I have a lot of stuff in mind.

My school doesn’t have any restrictions on graduate level classes, provided you meet the prerequisites. When I was a mechanical engineering major, I was actually required to take a couple graduate level classes since I wanted a concentration in biomechanics.

@Coriander23
Isn’t it limited to juniors and seniors?

My adviser was able to get me into an online science class, so my schedule is now:

MWF
Class from 9:00 - 10:50

T
Class from 6:00 - 6:50

R
Class from 6:00 - 8:30

I really like this schedule; I don’t have to go on Tuesdays and Thursdays until the evening, and on MWF, I am done at 10:50. It’s going to be nice.

Thinking about transferring. Anyone else?

I’m in community college now. rising sophomore. Hopefully I will start applying fall of 2017

@Vctory What makes you think of transferring?

@shawnspencer Kind of fell in love with a program and hoping I get accepted :slight_smile: I was reading up on labor economics & stumbled across a bunch of stuff from Cornell’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations; thought it’d be worth it to shoot in an application. Really lines up with my career goals &c.

Also general dissatisfaction w/ my current university, but that’s not really as much of a big deal as finding something new and exciting.

Might end up graduating with you all even though I’m an incoming freshman.

@stugace - #ThanksCollegeBoard

@preamble1776 to me you seem like a history major. By the picture of FDR

@NASA2014 - Haha, close. I’m a Political Science major. FDR is my favorite president.

AP tests had nothing to do with it, lol. It’s just how I’m taking on 18 credit units this semester and next and then the way the classes will be taken, I might be able to finish up in 3 years but don’t know if it’s wise if I want a job directly after college.

It’s going to be August soon! I can’t believe how fast time is moving. I’m ready for classes to start.

I’ve been on campus for the whole summer doing research so I could use a break before classes start, but I get what you mean. It’s nice to get into the groove of things and I’m also looking forward to seeing some friends again

I’m itching to get back to classes. My school doesn’t resume until the second week of September so that’s a little disappointing.

@Vctory i transferred and will be at a new school in the fall

I miss living with my friends and being able to wake up at 10 every day wah.

@Vctory I’m toying with the idea of transferring but the thing is there are only two schools I’m thinking about applying to and if I decide to transfer, I need to do it this semester because a lot of schools won’t even accept transfers once they reach junior standing. Most likely I won’t, as I’m also real=/

But are you the realest?
