College Class 2018

In 2 weeks, summer and fall registration starts at my school.

Woo ~

I registered for fall 2 weeks ago, but might need to get a higher credit cap override (already got a pretty high one from the dean lol), since I might be in a theater production in the fall and we’re required to get academic credit if we get cast (we’re doing this really cool play that deals with mother daughter relationships).

I got all the classes I wanted! So I’ll be taking music theory, costume, probability, coding theory, and computer security.

I don’t really discuss my GPA with people. My major is education, and a lot of my friends are computer science majors, so my classes are easier compared to theirs; therefore, I don’t feel comfortable talking about my GPA because my workload isn’t as intense as theirs. I’m always worried the conversation will turn into “Well, your major isn’t that hard,” so I avoid the topic altogether.

When I do well in a class compared to my classmates, I don’t like discussing my grades, either. I mean, it’s important to be proud about the grades you get because you put in the effort for those grades, but I don’t think you need to discuss the details with people when they know for a fact that the material in said class comes easy to you. I never ask people what grade they received on an assignment, anyways, because it’s none of my business.

The weather is so nice, and I only have five days of classes left. Where did this semester go?

Last day of classes is Friday! I have a final next Monday and Tuesday, though. How’s everyone?

Our last day of class was Friday- this week’s finals for us! It’s exhausting. I have 4 finals (2 of which I’ve taken) and 2 final projects. I go home on Saturday!

Today was bittersweet. On the one hand, I am excited to be done with the semester and also excited to be attending a school away from home in the fall, but I am also sad to leave the school I have attended for two years. It seems like my first day of freshman year was just yesterday, but two years have already gone by. It’s so crazy.

I was able to look up my classrooms at my university, and the classrooms there are SO nice. I may be exaggerating, but I think I have the right to exaggerate because many of the rooms at my current school needed remodeled/renovated.

Overall, I am very excited for fall semester. It’s going to be good!

When do you guys find out your grades for the semester? All of mine have been released but one. Kinda frustrated cuz my math final dropped my grade a whole letter grade…

@guineagirl96, I’ll find out all my grades probably by Friday. I think Friday is the day they’re all supposed to be posted.

Just finished my last final and final project today. It feels weird that I’m now a junior. I feel like it took forever to get to junior year in high school, but to get from freshman year to junior year in college is like super fast.

Bumpin cause I’m back peeps. I’m no longer functioning off of 3 hours of sleep a night and caffeine chocolate. What’s everyone up to this summer?

Dead days are the next two days then a week of finals.

Bleh.

Had five finals for six classes. Luckily, survived.

GPA will drop a little bit (I feel you, preamble – I can tell when people are going to compare themselves to me and when they will take it personally) but not too bad.

Halfway there. I still feel like I belong in high school.

Yeah, I think it’s crazy that we’re going to be college juniors… like, since when did I stop being 12?

This is when I am very happy to be a middler, not a junior

Had an incredibly stressful semester (expected to be the busiest 4 months of my life) with 2 grad CS classes (considered a full load) plus 2 undergraduate philosophy courses. Finished with straight A’s though! Have an internship this summer in an amazing apartment I just moved into, classes in the fall but with a much less stressful outlook, and a co-op upcoming in January! Life’s busy but great, and I love that I have three more years instead of just one (if I went for no co-ops and no masters).

Grades almost all in, and got unexpected A’s in two subjects! I think they realized they had graded too hard and no one had an A, so they curved last minute…

I got three A’s and two A minuses. I was worried about the classes that I got the two A-minuses in. My professor counts participation as 30% of the grade (took both classes with her), and I felt that my participation could’ve been better. I also skipped some classes, so I thought she would dock me on participation. It seems like my participation didn’t affect my grade because I got A-minuses on my papers, so my overall grade would pretty much be an A-.

It’s nice when you get higher grades than expected. My GPA went down slightly because of the minuses, but I’m still happy with it. Can’t always expect to get straight A’s.

Glad to see that everyone survived! somewhat. I’ve already started my own internship and I’m high key not looking forward to graduating in a year and a half.

There’s a direct correlation between how much I post on forums and how well I do in school.

Got a 4.0 this semester!

My GPA prior to this semester was a 3.45 and I knew that for prospective IB, 3.5 is usually the cutoff. Somehow, I pulled a 3.93 out of my ass and finished soph year with a 3.57. Honestly I’m more bewildered than anything.
