DS trained for 3 years dancing 20-25 hours a week before applying to BFA programs and is currently a college freshman. Never did any teams or competitions.

This semester in addition to daily ballet and modern technique classes, he has men’s class, ballet partnering, composition/improvisation, Gaga, yoga and Purchase Dance Company (audition based with a performance) as well as several academic classes. Since he was cast in several senior and junior pieces (audition based with performances) he spends an additional 15 hours a week in rehearsals. Busy!

He’d like dance with a company and travel. Possibly choreograph.

My D just received accptence to marymount manhattan!! Excited that we have at least one nyc school!!!

DD just received notice that she is Waitlisted for Marymount. Anyone have experience with this or know someone who has? Any insights appreciated.

DD just got her acceptance phone call from Pace this afternoon. One of her top choices. Good luck to all waiting to hear!

Looking through our list and still waiting to hear from USC (which will be Apr 1 if I remembering right from the audition) and Boston Conservatory. Anyone who did Boston regular decision have results yet? Does anyone know when they are expected?

Anyone else hear of anyone receiving calls from Pace? Trying to figure out if they’ve all went out? My DD has not nor have any of her friends that auditioned.

the pace calls have definitely not finished! we’re still waiting and we were told that some people don’t even get a call- they just get a letter next week

@gmfalv ugh! I wish they would just update everyones portals! The second guessing is causing so much extra stress. Congrats to all the “yes’s” and good luck to all those still waiting!
