You could probably get into VT. The type of engineering usually plays a role though in admissions

My son got into VT College of Engineering w/ a 1480 (CR/M) but his best friend did not with a +1350, but he was admitted VT general admission (just not engineering). I don’t know what his GPA was but believe it was probably close to 4.0 weighted, I think you can apply after freshman year again if you are not admitted to COE (check on that though).
