Colleges looking for students from Europe

Do you know colleges that have a lack students from Europe? I’m one of the top 5 students from 10th to 13th grade in my school (I’m at a normal secondary school, not something like an International school), but I pretty much don’t have any savings so I depend on financial aid. Is it better to apply to a big (Ivy League?) school or to a small college? And if I had the choice I would definitely prefer non-party schools or at least sub-free dorms, but I don’t have the priority to attend elite schools, whereas these would give most financial aid…it would be great if you could help me!! College search can get somewhat crazy…

Your odds are better at smaller, less selective colleges, but if you think you have a shot at the Ivies, give them a try too! Beware that the admission rates for international financial aid applicants are usually lower than the overall admission rate. I suggest that you apply to at least 10 schools of varying selectivity to give yourself a good shot.
