Columbia Transfer Fall 2020 WAITLIST

since there’s a specific due date, i don’t think it’s preferable to send it earlier but I’m not 100% sure

@sadgjhkdsh Yeah i sent my transcript. A lot of colleges are doing pass/fail, so i’m hoping they’ll understand?

Hey guys! Urgent question-
I submitted my supplement statement through the portal and got a confirmation email. However, on my portal, it doesn’t look like I uploaded anything. Anyone else have this problem?

I think it’s the same for everyone. As long as you received the confirmation email you are fine.

Where did you guys submit your transcripts? I’m worried mine aren’t going to make it in time because some of my grades aren’t in yet.

@meninaeidethea I submitted mine virtually 2 days ago by requesting it from my current school. My school set up a way to request it online. Your school should be able to send it for you electronically.

Where did u guys send your transcripts? I sent mine to ugrad-transfer@columbia.edu but I wasn’t sure if that was right

@meninaeidethea Same here! And my school only provides paper transcripts to mail, which will take another few days… But I think it’s fine cuz in the portal they said to send it as soon as possible without mentioning a specific date

@andyjjohnson34 Me too. I think it’s good because I got an email saying my transcript was received.

@chubbyguppy how long after u sent it in did u receive that email? Was it from Columbia, cause I only got an email from my school saying it was delivered

When you guys submitted your letters did you put your highschool or college you were transferring from?

@Gotcha00 I put the college I was transferring from

@andyjjohnson34 I got the email from Columbia the day after I submitted my transcript

@andyjjohnson34 I got an email from Parchment (the website i used to request my transcript) that it was received by Columbia

I forgot where I read it but I recall that they’d want the high school you’re applying from, Columbia ID and date of birth. Though I feel like it might just be copy/pasted from the non-transfer LOCI form.

@jamesonion yeah that is why i was asking. On the form it says highschool but I wasn’t sure if they just copied it from the waitlist for incoming freshman and forgot to change it

What do you guys think the chances are of getting off the waitlist?

How many people are waitlisted?

^

Will COVID possibly change our chances?

I’m assuming it will change our chances for the better? Also are decisions going to be rolling?

Now I’m worried they might not get my transcript in time. I got an email from Parchment that my transcript had been processed and delivered but I didn’t get an email from Columbia

@andyjjohnson34 send an email to ugrad-transfer@columbia and ugrad-confirm@columbia.
