I think several people have called admissions and are getting different answers 
My GC got notified via letter that it should be the 14th and I think several other GCs got the same letter, so I really thought it was the 14th. By the way, should we not receive mails notifying us about the decision date sometime soon?
I’m so anxious and I have my Mathematics paper in 6 hours. It’s 2 a.m. here and I just can’t sleep. Lol. So, there’s that.
Do you guys like music? If yes, please do recommend something. I think it’ll be a nice way for me to deviate my mind.

@columbianswift if you use spotify, you can go to https://open.spotify.com/view/2017-page to see a ton of cool data on your listening from this year, stuff like your most played song, artist, and genre. It generates a playlist of your top 100 songs from 2017, and I can’t stop listening to mine!
@linhcinders did you rank columbia as a finalist? those decisions already came out, but you might be referring to the single choice option that i think they have, right?
1210 is much lower than columbia’s averages, so it’ll be hard (but not impossible) to get in, but there are tons of other factors in the process. if your ECs and essays are great and you have hooks that’ll help
since columbia said via letter that it’s the 14, that’s the date i’m gonna stick by unless proven otherwise by email

@columbianswift I really like this band called Smallpools! They’re an indie rock band w/ really upbeat music that helps me stay relatively sane during stressful times lol. I also love Imagine Dragons

@stressedibstudent going off the letters that GCs have received, it’s the 14th. the admissions office is telling people two different dates though, which is a little confusing, but i would trust a printed and proofread letter more because humans make mistakes and i wouldn’t blame the admissions people for accidentally reporting the wrong date lol.
i’m still confused as to why some counselors got the letter and others didn’t though :-?
@1984ad I did rank Columbia as a rank but I wasn’t matched to any schools. Columbia emailed me and gave me an opportunity to apply ED and I did.
