I took the test yesterday, and the questions were the same difficulty as difficult amc8 level questions, at most. (and like 3 questions amc10 13~19 level) Good luck!
@brainbuilder02 sure!
I took the test last year (I was a freshman) without any preparation. After the test the score that I estimated I got was 47 for easy math, 50-55 for science and 14-15 for challenge math although I probably overestimated by scores. For freshmen I think they just want you to do really well on one of the tests so I got pretty lucky.
Anybody who took the test:
What dd you get for the graph queston with the y=x and y^2 +x^2 = 4 Or somethng lke that
I got pi
What did you guys get for that challenge math question about false statements?
For the people who took it in 2017, how was it? I am a freshman who has taken algebra 1 and earth science, and am now currently taking Geometry honors and Biology honors. I am pretty good at algebra and decent honors geometry, but am much better at earth science and honors bio. What should I study? what level questions does it have? What subjects in math do I need to know, and what subjects in science do I need to know? From what I understand it has a math section, science section, and amc questions. How can I study for this? Thanks in advance.
i got 3 @jiwonie11
Thank the lord
what level is the “easy” math
Sat 1 math section @pap_21
Hi! I’m a freshman applying to the program and I was wondering if the math and science sections were all multiple choice, and if not which sections were multiple choice and which sections weren’t? Thanks in advance!
All MCs @Srochester
All MCs @Srochester
Is the exam mostly environmental science and biology with a few chem/phys questions?
@Natalia711 I don’t think so, the science section is very broad. If you look around this post, you’ll see a lot of people that took the exam and shared with you about it. I’m taking the exam tomorrow so I guess I can give you an insight too.
I am taking the test tomorrow too, and i know this is a stupid question but can we bring mechnical pencils instead of #2 pencils? I just do not feel comfortable writing normal pencils
Goodluck tomorrow everone!
How did everyone do?
I think I got:
12 Challenge Math
68-70 Science
45-46 Easy math (blech stupid mistake)
Is this a competent score?
Ok, the test was kinda harder than I expected:
Do think I’ll get in?
43-44 Easy Math (skipped like 3)
65-70 Science
11 Challenge Math (skipped 2)
Also, I’m a freshman, so I don’t know if that helps.
The science section was weird…I haven’t taken earth science since 7th grade. The easy math was really easy, and the challenge math really had a variety of difficulty levels.
47 Easy math
67 Science
12-13 Challenge math
Any idea what the cutoff is? Did anyone get the ‘age of the three people’ challenge question?
