yeah lol it would be nice if we could all get in
and comradenapolean, that’s unfortunate, i was hoping we would be able to use a calculator…oh well, thank you so much anyways
@comradenapoleon hi! I take the test this Saturday and I was just wondering if you would compare the hard math to the AMC 8 or 10 so i know what to practice i really hope you get in!!
@dat728 Idk tbh. I thought they were more AMC 8 but ig 1-10 AMC 10 would be comparable and others have said that in this thread. I would just say they require you to think in the way that AMC problems would.
were the four sciences evenly distributed or were there more of one subject than the other?
@comradenapoleon got it. thanks! is there anything else you would recommend doing to prepare?
@comradenapoleon

@hullooo I don’t remember. Didn’t notice anything extremely off so maybe evenly?
@day728 I recommend doing nothing. If you would feel more comfortable, I guess you could study, but I think it’d be a waste of time. Just me though
@comradenapoleon what difficulty was the science questions? like you could compare the challenge section to the AMC 10 test and some say that the easy section is like the SAT subject Math so what would you compare the science questions to? thank you so much btw!
@smileyfox Idk. Probably NY regents level?
@comradenapoleon got it! but what was the hardest thing/question on the exam in your opinion? this thread is kinda freaking me out haha. thanks so much.
What kind of physics questions were there? Was there anything on magnets or optics?
@day728 I mean I’m not sure but that’s what a lot of people say (and have been over the years haha). I’d practice hard AMC 10/12 to be on the safe side though. I have actualy heard that its a little easier than the hard question on that test, but its prob better if you practice hader questions anyways. Good luck!!

what time are you guys taking the test? i’m at 10:50. also, how “basic” were the easy questions? knowing that this is Columbia, i’m assuming that it won’t be as simple as 4 + 3 right? thanks again!
I’m also at 10:50. I heard that the science questions were trick but the hard math was questions from past amc tests. I’m just going to have reference tables and notes from bio and chem out when I take the test
what kind of physics questions should we expect because i haven’t taken the course yet ahh
@baadshah7777777 I don’t know anything about magnets, optics or physics in general so even if it came up on the test I wouldn’t be able to tell you.
@day728 The hardest for me was probably the physics questions since I haven’t taken it yet and I tried my best to make sense out of what the question was asking. Don’t freak out, it really isn’t that bad. You’ll be fine. I thought I was literally doomed, and now I at least think I have some chance.
@smileyfox I think you will be pleasantly surprised…
@Abominamole I probably should have done that but I was too scared lol
I’m taking the exam tomorrow as well. Good luck to everyone! I can’t wait to finally get this exam over with lol
@comradenapoleon …i seriously hope you aren’t joking because you are giving me some serious hope right now haha
