Also my D got an email from AO two hours ago responding to her update - and said happy to receive more - so I don’t think it’s over. Wouldn’t AO say so then or just not respond ?

hello! i sent an update a couple weeks ago via email but didn’t get a response. what email did she send it to?
Her AO specifically - they have been in contact since May 10 on and off
how did she find out who her AO is?
You can also just send it straight to the admissions office, that’s what I did and they got back to me in like 45 minutes

I think it’s crazy to say that they’re full. There’s just no way, with all that’s gone on I’m sure they’ve had some people back out or just never commit in the first place. This is a year that has a lot of open holes and I think that’s why it’s taking so long. They had obvious delays, and I think they want to release all decisions out in one big wave

While I agree that it seems likely there would be somewhat less commits this year, I don’t see the logic in “one big wave.” Unlike regular admissions where they intentionally over-admit based on a guess of how many commit, usually filling waitlists is done ad hoc and individually where they give a very short window (a few days at or less) for the individually to commit or they move on. That would be harder on their AO resources to do all at once rather than spread out a little.

same – i emailed them on the 16th of may and no response, but i sent a follow up email this morning. also, my AO (virginia) got transferred to another department so i can’t even email him 
ok so they just responded a few minutes ago saying that my update has been added to my file. but i also asked about how much longer they anticipate to keep taking students off the waitlist (i’m just curious b/c another ivy waitlist i was on closed early) and they never answered my question lol
they still didnt respond to me!! omds im scared now, its the ugrad-confirm email right?
