I’m looking for online catalogs for women’s clothing similar to J.Jill, Coldwater Creek and Territory Ahead. I wear business casual to work. I like tunics/oversize shirts, live in a warm climate, and am always hot, so “cool” clothing is key. I generally wear a misses size.
Thanks in advance.

My favorite is Chico’s. Beautiful, flowing clothing.

Garnet Hill has some very nice clothes that should fit your criteria.

I love Eileen Fisher. The clothes are pricey(for me!), but I tend to find some great pieces heavily discounted at the local Nordstrom Rack as well as on the sale portion of the website http://www.eileenfisher.com/EileenFisher/Sale/Missy.jsp?bmLocale=en_US.

Ditto I love Eileen Fisher…but pieces as opposed to “total” outfits. And yes, I can drool over the Garnet Hill catalog. I also watch Gap…it’s not expensive and there are pieces there that “fit” the flowy category. I’m partial to some of the Joan Vass pieces, also. Similar to Eileen Fisher at times.

What bothers me most is the flimsy thickness of all knit fabrics. Websites tout it as “feather-weight” and “like wearing a cloud” … No, the fact is that cotton has skyrocked in price and so manufacturers made thread so fine that clothes are thread-bare as they leave the factory. The designers and marketing arms have worked around it by promoting super-skinny jeans, t-shirts that you can see through and the concept that all tops (despite being $$$ each) need to be layered.
If you have any bulges anywhere, you can’t count on your clothes to skim over them. Sigh.

Tender Treasures offers a great selection of Flax clothing through their website:
[FLAX clothing featured at Tender Treasures. Natural fiber clothes and gifts for women and children.](http://www.tendertreasures.com/)
Their stuff is very comfortable and all cotton Their clothes are pretty expensive, but they have many sales. If you get on their email list you’ll be notified of all upcoming sales. If you haven’t worn Flax before order a size down as they run big.

I like J Jill- and I also like Fresh Produce (I have a store in my town, but you can buy online.)
Colorful and casual.

Great suggestions. I like E. Fisher, but the prices scare me off although I occasionally find something on sale. I haven’t heard of some of these, but will check them out.

I love the Eileen Fisher stuff, reminds me of JJill, but boy it is expensive, for me.

I just bought a linen shirtdress that is identical to the one on the garnet hill website- but at the Eileen Fisher website on sale.
It came & it is gorgeous material- & very versatile style.
I have just a few of her pieces, but they are very classic & last a long time.

I too strongly recommend the Flax line…all linen, very cool. I wear them all summer, and even with long pants, I am cool. They are sold principally at boutique stores, but there are a number of on line sites. Just do a search for Flax. I keep my eye on particular colors, piece together outfits from different sites as they go on sale. Sizing is very generous.

Found Soft Surroundings catalogue at my MIL’s. Surprisingly pretty and comfy things. [Comfortable Clothing for Women, Womens Fashions Online - Soft Surroundings](<a href=“Womens Clothing - Tops, Pants & Dresses | Soft Surroundings”>Womens Clothing - Tops, Pants & Dresses | Soft Surroundings)

I usually shop their outlet store online http://www.softsurroundingsoutlet.com/

Try some of the travel sites like TravelSmith, Magellan, ExOfficio. They sell lightweight, presentable, packable clothes…many of which have vents or special ‘cooling’ fabrics.

I’m going to Rome this summer (!) so this stuff is on my mind.

Dragonmom – Or clothes so short they barely cover a middle-aged middle! I compare shirts from five years ago compared with new things and somebody has stolen 3-5 inches off the hem. I seem to spend a whole lot of time tugging things down.

I buy a lot of tops online at Lands End and LL Bean. The reviewer comments are very helpful. I also like Kohl’s (but skip the flimsy material choices there), especially the Petite dept.

Thanks so much. I’ve spent an enjoyable morning checking out all these sites.

Sooooo jealous.

Have on a MaryEllen dress right now!

I buy my pants from Lucy. I like their Everyday knit pants.

i just ordered a skort from lucy. i love the lucy everyday pants, too. i have quite a few of the jackets as well. they are great for traveling!

Sigh… J Jill. I love their colors and fabrics. But everything they carry makes me look fat. I am on the high end of “normal” weight (literally, BMI = 24.5). But EVERYTHING there makes me look heavier. And also with a scoop neck, which is not attractive on me. We have a store locally, and I frequently go into it, but never find anything suitable.
