Comfortable Women's Shoes?

Abasket, if you like teal, teal Lily Moon by Gentle Souls are only $60-$65 on Amazon! Those are my hiking sandals.

The color was just too great! I could picture wearing them on many occassions - I’ll check the Lily Moon’s out!

I’m going to try out the new shoe store tomorrow’s hoping they live up to their great reviews!

abasket-those are actualy cute! It’s a little cool and wet for them here, but maybe there are cool weather styles. BB, I shall check out the Lily Moon.

So sorry! The link did not get into my post. Here they are:

Aren’t they adorable? I ordered a pair, $65 including our tax. I fully expect baby kiddo to expropriate them soon. But first they are going hiking in Maui.

Very cute–not my idea of hiking gear.

Very cute BB - I’ll take one in several colors please.

While it’s important to me to have a good foundation of black, tan and navy shoes, I also LOVE having a couple of shoes with true color. I have a lot of fall/winter dresses with black, grey, navy neutrals so sometimes it’s nice to pair a pop of color.

Are the cute Lily moon’s good for narrow or wide feet,…etc.

i bought a pair of sandals by Think! They are very comfortable and from Germany. I’ll try to find a sample and post the photo. I also bought two pairs of clearance footwear–a pair of dressy sandals and a pair of ugg ballet shoes. I couldn’t resist the price and they were both comfortable enough.

The sandals are kind of like these: https://www.thinkshoesusa.com/traudi-ankle-strap-cafekombi.html

Glad you found something! Is that heel ok for you?

Glad you did not come out of the store empty handed!

The one I got is a cork platform rather than a heel. I think it should work. I will see. They were very nice at the store. May return for future needs.

This topic is getting a lot of ‘buzz’. NPR small segment this morning. I think as more and more women ‘demand’ comfortable and stylish shoes at a reasonable price, we will see more available.

I caught only a bit of that segment…what was the high end brand they said were great???

Today, I am wearing my 80% off JC biker boots and feeling both stylish and comfortable.

I’ve been following this thread closely. I’m going to London in December and decided for 2 pairs of walking shoes, one pair of boots. One clear shoe winner so far is the Mephisto Yael. I would normally never wear such a shoe but I will not sacrifice comfort for style.

I order through zappos and nordstrom and just try and return.

My issues is socks. I cannot stand not wearing socks, my feet blister like tissue paper. Since it will be on average mid 30s low to near 50 days I need socks that will be warm but not bulky.

Ouch eye mama, sounds painful. On the diet and exercise, we have been singing the praises of Balega socks. I got a pair that are ankle socks that are super soft and comfy. I have small feet and find that buying socks that come in sizes are good to keep blisters away for me.

I also like smartwool socks but don’t know if would work for you. Running socks in general are anti blister. Good luck.

Eyemom, look into running socks: Balega, Thorlo, Vermont Darn Tough, etc.

One tip about athletic socks. For some reason, sock makers think that only men would want black socks. Socks for women come in an assortment of wild colors, which is fine for running, but not fine for professional and travel wear. So I scout men’s socks for neutral colors. Size S men’s socks work well for size 7-9 women’s shoes.

I buy black unisex Thorlo socks. They are thick but NEVER cause me blisters. You have to try on footwear with these socks so you will get the correct size.
