In order to stand a good chance at admission into the comm school, must one be a member of one of the comm-related student organizations? I know that the comm school looks for club involvement, but what if the clubs that we choose to join (and are most passionate about) are not comm-related?

It’s more important to take a challenging course load and get good grades. Activities are important, but Comm or non-Comm related shouldn’t sway your application. I think there is an essay question on the application about your activities…a good place to elaborate on what you are involved with.

Good luck.

567~Robert is right. Pick the ones you are passionate about and get seriously involved.
Good Luck to you :)

It wouldn’t hurt to be in at least one (after all, you should show an interest in the subject material), but nothing’s wrong with being most involved/passionate in non-related orgs.
