Hello!
Basically, I’m trying to decide whether I could handle debate (I heard the commitment was quite demanding) or if I should take business classes and participate in FBLA.
DEBATE:
- Useful where ever
- Large Commitment and workload
(I don’t want to have to give up the sport and musical parts of my life to make way for debate.) - Smaller probability of ranking higher
BUSINESS CLASSES:
-May not be as well respected as debate, there’s no letter on the letterman for it at my high school
+Smaller workload and commitment
-Higher chances of going to Nationals (?)
Can you guys please add some more pros and cons of both? How hard would it to be state chmapion at either? Also, how do debate rankings look and what is reputable?
