<p>The short answer extra curricular column in the Common App says the maximum word limit is 1000 words. Is it supposed to be that long? What exactly are we supposed to write in this column? About one particular extra curricular activity or about all the EC’s one has participated in?</p>
<p>1000 words? Not sure, how that is short. I think it’s 1000 characters.</p>
<p>That’s like one medium sized paragraph + 4 lines. For me at least.</p>
<p>I would say you should stick to one particular EC because, as is outlined in the question, “elaborate on one specific EC”</p>
