one more question… i download the forms from ‘download forms’ page of the commonapp, thus my ID is not visible on every form. however, i’ve checked this on FAQ they say it’s alright. do i still have to write my ID on every page?

can i photocopy the school forms? or should i submit the originals?

He/She falls in the category ‘Science’.

You would do better if you downloaded the forms in the following way. Invite teachers to fill the school forms but do not give in their email addresses. In this way a link will appear at the bottom of the page which will enable you to download the form and hand them to your teacher to fill them up. Your ID though not strictly required helps the colleges process your material faster. So it’s nice if you take this much trouble.

Just get one filled and ask them to photocopy it ‘x’ times and send the photocopies to ‘x’ schools. Remember that the school stamp must be on ALL the photocopies. And you do NOT see your recommendation or photocopy it yourself. The teachers do it.

thanks for the answers! i really appreciate them.

regarding question number 2, the problem is, the teachers have filled all the forms and to give them new forms to be filled out is a little too late (cause holiday is coming and the school admins and teachers are going to have a holiday too).

therefore, Is it better if i tell them to write my ID and name on the bottom of the applications? or just leave the apps as it is?

have your ID and name written on them as a precaution…dont leave them as they are
better safe than sorry, you know

does attaching a resume enhance my ECs?
or should i just elaborate them on the space provided?

i know a friend who put a really thick resume with a myriad of words for the description. sadly, she was rejected by stanford.

If you plan on attaching a resume, do so only if you think it will supplement what you say on the application not replicate. Also the resume should no more than 1.5 pages in very concise, precise and clear terms. You bore the adcoms and they bore you with a rejection. Simple!
