I will be either Assistant Editor or Online Editor-in-chief for newspaper. I don’t think my schedule is necessarily competitive since I choose to take classes that I will both enjoy and be challenged in ie I don’t worship AP classes, but I do think I’m an ambitious overachiever. I don’t really like the competition side to it. Take classes that will enrich you whether they have AP in front of them or not.
I think your schedule is really good, though I don’t understand why you take English and History Honors for a semester before their AP equivalents, why AP Chem is just one semester and why you have 5 classes in second semester, but each school is different.
I’m a rising senior, and I haven’t gotten my schedule yet. So, I’ll put last years schedule.
I’m not in any AP classes, because my previous high school didn’t have them. (I moved because that school was ridiculously easy).

@MissSuzyQ Thank you for your addition to this thread and your schedule is pretty good. I like how to focus on the real purpose for school and class; to actually learn and enrich you. Your perspective is very different from those people who focus more on being at the top and being very competitive. And by the way, I HAVE to take the honors classes before the AP equivalent. It sounds dumb, but its kinda like a pre-requisite. Also, I chose to take an extra class my 2nd semester which means I will stay after school. GOOD LUCK

I’m training for the marathon so that is gonna take up a bit of time but I don’t mind. Also doing speech and debate. Kind of a lot but it is junior year. Either now or never!
Your schedule seems fine! Why are you doing 1 semester of AP English and Apush? You might not be well prepared for the tests.
