Complete Monty Python, Deadwood DVD on sale

<p>I pulled the trigger yesterday on “The Wire”, so I really can’t justify buying the complete Monty Python today for $80. Or the complete “Deadwood” at Amazon for $65. But maybe someone else who has so far resisted the siren call of cheap boxed DVD sets will want to benefit.</p>

<p>Just sent the link to H- not so sure I should have, he has many sketches memorized. Dead parrot, anyone? Minister of funny walks? I could waste the afternoon with this.</p>

<p>They’ve had some of the “Best Of” collections on tv recently. Caught mountain-climbing up the High Street, and the Queen Victoria Steeplechase…</p>

<p>My favorites:

  1. Working Class Playwright-- Eric Idle as the coal mining son, visiting Gram Chapman, his abrasive literary father.
  2. The Five Yorkshiremen
  3. John Cleese as Little Red Riding Hood- stomping around the woods, ripping apart logs, etc.</p>
