That is interesting. I’m not familiar with that company, and I haven’t read the report closely, but I am surprised that all of the tech jobs listed are computer science or computer science adjacent. I have heard m/read of tons of recent CS graduates and current students complaining that they can’t find jobs or internships.
On the other hand, my husband is a high-tech (not PE) electrical engineer. His (large, multinational) company alone needs to at least double their workforce of electrical engineers in the next year. And they can’t find anyone to hire because there is so much demand for high-tech electrical engineers and too little supply.
CompTIA has certifications for variety of CS or IT roles, such as technician, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, so for non engineers.
