So- I put off getting tickets to Bob Dylan in Seattle * on my birthday* because I don’t like seeing artists in a venue that was built for car shows.

But!.. I just saw today that tickets were on sale for a 1400 seat theatre ( which at one time was one of the largest in the country) for Sunday.
( of course the tickets went on sale 1 1/2 weeks ago, but there still were a couple left)
I am pretty psyched- it will be good Karma.
One of my D’s was born on Dylan’s birthday, it is the day before my birthday, my very first record of any kind was one of his ( when I was in 3rd or 4th grade) and my first concert with peers was at the Moore theatre. ( I was 15, we saw Blue Oyster Cult)
So neato jet :D

Fall is traditionally performance time- what plays/dance/exhibitions are you looking forward to seeing?

Well, I’ve already been to a Baltimore Symphony Orchestra concert, and tonight went to the Kennedy Center to hear Jane Krakowski. Have I not already had a ticket for Krakowski, I’d have been very tempted to attend tonight’s National Philharmonic concert, their season opener, an all-Beethoven program of the First Symphony, 2nd Piano Concerto, and Choral Fantasy.

EK, I also saw Blue Oyster Cult in my salad days; they opened for BTO.

I think I must have gotten the last pair of tickets for the Moore theatre- I was vacilitating so long because I hoped to never set foot in the Wamu theatre again ( where Bob is playing tomorrow night and where I saw Neil Young last fall)- so they aren’t main floor seats- but balcony is GA, so I suppose it if I get there reasonably early I can get good seats- the sightlines are good- I remember it as being * very* steep.
