<p>I’ve never seen the point of conduct grades. As long as you’re not acting like a rabid monkey in class, how will it affect you? Is it used for anything? Will having an E (Excellent) differ from a S (Satisfactory)? Do colleges even look at them? I’ve had teachers who admitted to refusing to give out E’s (the highest you can get) no matter how well-behaved and attentive you were. Their reason was because “no one is perfect enough for an E.”</p>

<p>That’s strange. I’ve been getting them since I was in Kindergarten. I thought everyone got these.</p>
<p>It’s basically a grade on how well-behaved you are in class. E (Excellent), S (Satisfactory), N (Needs Improvement), and U (Unsatisfactory). They don’t affect your grades at all, so you can make an U and still pass a class with an A. I think the only thing that happens if you get an N or U, you can participate in some sports and clubs.</p>
<p>I shouldn’t really matter that much. I mean we haven’t had those since middle school. All it really shows is the teacher’s perception of you.</p>
<p>Recommendations matter much more. Don’t worry about it.</p>

<p>That’s very weird. I remember in elementry school having one when we only had 1 teacher. I don’t see how it can work in a highschool.</p>

<p>Wow, I didn’t know that some high schools have them. I think some of the teachers in my school count class participation/behavior as a certain percent of your grade.</p>

<p>For the first nine years I went to school I only got E, S, and U (well, I never got any Us). I don’t think it would matter much, unless you have really bad behavior.</p>
