Confused 23 -- New Ignore thread

Uh. . . if you are referring to Sweetney’s remark about debating a high schooler, did it occur to you that he was referring to C23?

No… because he wasn’t.

Sweetny, I forgot to add: Z is good looking… or was good looking… or think he’s good looking. One of those.

LOL!!! :D

It is funny that you do not want me to post here but you keep talking to me… Either way I was not coming here to fight (although that is clearly what you enjoy doing) . I was trying to clear up a generalization about UCB. I DONT EVEN GO THERE YET. I never mentioned politics or the war or how I feel about the military. The very fact that I mentioned Berkeley itself was apparently enough to make Zaphod lose it.

Tactical Nuke- In my first post the highschooler was confused23.

“The better question is why are YOU on this forum.” - I have answered this in every one of my posts. Do you not realize this is a public forum??

“The fact you are going to Berkeley immediately identifies you as someone not to be taken seriously on any topic of importance.”
This is an ignorant statement to say the least. It is also the reason I question Zaphod’s intelligence. I have no idea why Zaphod has so much hatred in side of him but I am not his punching bag. This is a public forum if you criticize something and have no logic or reason behind it somebody will correct you.

Bottom line is this, if I had realized I was walking into the pages of 1984 when I first posted I would have refrained.

You think it’s ignorant because it’s ACCURATE. I’m not bothered either way.

LOL!

There it is, folks!

CRITICIZE them, and you’re “full of hate”. LOL!

And they wonder why they’re not taken seriously! ROFLMAO!

Sigh… It must be nice to live in a world so devoid of reality.

<– HOWLING with laughter!

“Pages of 1984”? LOLOLOLOLOL!

Well, now that you’ve seen that this is Airstrip One and Big Brother is watching, please follow up with your statement and get lost.

"Sigh… It must be nice to live in a world so devoid of reality. "

LOL You tell me. You are the one who lives in a bubble. I can see why you dominate this thread, nobody in real life would take this garbage from you. It’s nice they took the straight jacket off long enough for you to type.

I think you are thinking of UCB in the 70’s. In any case it doesn’t really matter. I guess wanting to go to one of the top schools in the nation means I am worthless. ;)I can’t believe the other people on this board allow you to represent them in this way.

Gosh, I’m sensing a lot of hate in your attitude.

Why are you so full of hate? Have you seen a counselor? Have you gottn in touch with your inner self? Have you hugged a tree or licked a frog lately?

Seriously, dude, feel the love! ;)

I don’t represent anyone here except myself. They are quite capable of representing themselves.

In response to no particular post . . .

This is like Alice’s looking glass. Everybody is right and everybody is wrong.
What a wonderful place!
Facts are facts, opinons are opinons, the two are the same and everybody is right about everything . . . its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

KUMBAYAAAAAA!!! ;)

Group Hug! :D

You guys simply dont understand power. You are submissive and obey the authroity structures in society without questioning it. You guys keep on refering to “America’s interest” like you somehow benefit from it and we should fight to preserve “our” interests. “America’s Interests” dont have you guys in mind…they have BIG Business in mind. They want to increase capital for the wealthy and create tax breaks for them while they should be spending money on social programs and veterans benefits. With the increased capital that you guys are fighting to preserve, big businesses ship off all the jobs that you and your families work for to countries like China and India and pay them pennies and make them work in slave-like conditions. Bush does not have YOUR best interests at heart…He cares far more about the interests of the oil industry and billionaires. If he cared about the average military family, why didnt he make tax cuts that would benefit the lower and middle-class? Why the ultra-wealthy? Did those tax cuts help you guys out? NO. Did it help out the CEO of Wal-Mart? OH YEAH!

I agree, we are only fighting in Iraq to maintain our interests (i.e. oil reserves, which are worth over $80 billion, global hegemony, business interests in the mid east, and continued purchases of weapons from weapons producers like Halliburton and The Carlyle Group) but these interests do not help the people who are fighting for them. If you think your safety at home is what you’re fighting for, you’re WRONG! Iraq had no connection to 9/11 or Al Qaeda, in fact Osama bin Laden hated Saddam Hussein because bin Laden felt that Hussein did not enforce muslim laws enough (i.e. saddam didnt force women to wear the traditional muslim clothing). There were 0 weapons of mass destruction. However, it was the US military who used chemical weapnons including white phosphorous when they invaded Falluja.

Just Remeber: “US Intersts” are Business interests, not your interests. Why should you guys fight for business interests when they aren’t sending their children to help you guys out? I hope you guys know that Bush doesn’t care at all for you guys, albeit he is a good actor.

You couldn’t be further from the truth. The difference is that we don’t see a corporate conspiracy under every rock.

I regret that you have fallen prey to TRUE propaganda (“tax breaks only for the wealthy”, etc.). Unless you are willing to realize you’ve been duped into believing that crap by a bunch of people whose power descends from their ability to pit class against class, and who care even less about the little guy than you claim Bush does, you are NEVER going to be free of them, or HAPPY for that matter.

Envy is a dangerous thing. It’s sad that so many have used it to heap power upon themselves rather than freeing those they claim to represent.

Hey Zaphod, who pays the vast majority of taxes in this country?

“I regret that you have fallen prey to TRUE propaganda (“tax breaks only for the wealthy”, etc.).”

Take a look at your tax returns, i would love to know how much you got back from the tax break. I have reserched into this for a project in school and here’s some eveidence. My parents, who make roughly $600,000/yr. combined, recieved $43,000 from the Bush tax cut. My aunt, who makes roughly $45,000 recieved $122. Does that tell you something? And the difference between my parents and my aunt is only a few hundred thousand dollars, imagine the difference between my parents and the CEO of Wal-Mart. Is this REALLY propoganda? They’re facts, call them what you’d like.

Why dont we start wasr with Saudi Arabia? Because the Bush family has STRONG ties to the Saudi family. In fact, they are shown holding hands in a photo. Prince Bandar actually calls Bush, Bandar Bush in public. The Saudi family also invests a lot of money into Halliburton and they helped create the Carlyle Group. They own more stock of the Carlyle Group than anyone else in the company except the CEO. However, they are a very disgustingly backward dictatorship. They dont let women dirve. They dont let women own anything. They force women to marry a man if her father demands. They are also very corrupt. Why wont we invade them? the answer: $$$$$. Why dont we invade some of the brutally viscious regimes in Africa? Maybe because they have no money or resources, eh? Why Iraq? They are the 2nd largest oil-producing country in the world. And guess what, when the military invaded Iraq and took control, do you remember all the looting? That is because the military wasn’t securing the other gov’t biuldings. They were only guarding the Ministry of Oil. I wonder why?

But you missed the point of my post. Bush does not care about you or your comrades in the military. There are so many FACTS to prove it.

In 2001:

The top 1% of tax payers paid 33.89% of taxes. The top 5% paid 52.25%. The top 10% 64.89. The top 50% 96.03%.

If you don’t pay many taxes, you’re not going to get much back when there’s a tax break.

Basic example:

http://www.fairmark.com/begin/bracket.htm

How much your aunt would pay (assuming single): 7915

How much your parents would pay (assumed single here for comparison): 190,470.

So, your parents only make 13 times more than your aunt yet pay about (I assumed single filing) 24 times the taxes (ie they pay about double their share as compared to your aunt).

After tax breaks, your parents pay 147,470 and your aunt 7790 (assuming just Bush’s tax break, as you call it). So, your parents are still making 13 times what your aunt is, and are now paying 19 times the taxes.

Hmm…

Yeah, it tells me that your parents are wildly overtaxed. When you start throwing percentages around, the fact your parents pay so much more than your grandmother in taxes leads to the returns. Besides, what stimulates the economy more, $43,000 or $122?

As for the rest of your last post, I can’t help you. Your hatred for a single man has caused you to believe lies and half truths and to have built a political philosophy that is no more sound than a house of cards. I’m really wondering what you people are going to do in two years when Bush leaves office.

I’m sorry, but I can’t help you, because you’re not willing to listen.

Oh, and Bravo, TN. Nicely done.

I find it humorous how the left demands tax breaks for people who don’t pay taxes.

The unemployed, if you believe some of the pap coming from the left.

ab_med – after reading TN’s excellent rebuttle to your tax issue, I was wondering if you would be willing (hypothetically of course) to give up some of the A’s you earned in HS and give them to the C students. After all, even though you worked hard, wouldn’t it be a lot fairer to spread the wealth a little? I mean, many of the C students may have less wealthy homes and the kids probably work hard around the house. They may even hold jobs. So, I was wondering if that would make sense to you? You’d still probably have a B average and those C and D students could also get a B average – what do you think?

That’s such a childish remark. So mentally re-tarded you could be on death row in Texas

Very well put!

Very well put was in response to AFDAD2010. I don’t think his remark was childish, but put to a level where all can understand. I thought you had to be a convicted killer to be on death row in Texas, not disagree w/other persons opinions.
