I want to be a scenic artist. I am graduating this spring with a degree in Fine Art because that all my local school had to offer at the time. However its time to branch out, though I think it will be terrifying. Anyhow, does anybody have any insight on BA/BFA programs for wither scene painting or design/tech?

I’ve decided to apply to NCSA for Scene Painting but other than that I’m stumped. As money is tight as well as time, I have no way of visiting these schools before app deadlines. I want to stay somewhat close to home (Connecticut) since I’m such a chicken and was never allowed to go anywhere by myself. Even at 23, not living at home, my dad still calls every night to make sure I got home safe, haha. Plus I want to make sure I can get home quickly in case of an emergency or for my ailing grandmother. The schools that I am looking at now are:

University of North Carolina: School of the Arts
University of the Arts in PA ( I love Philadelphia)
Central Connecticut State University (Since its cheap and close)

If you have any thought about these schools, I would love to hear them. Also any other suggestions would be more than welcome. Thanks
