Consolidated book suggestions for AP

You’re doing 3 AP histories self study this year?
Are you out of your mind?
Well…I suppose its not that time consuming.
But wow.

Well world and euro overlap…

As for art, I’ll just have to study hard haha

However, I might switch art with spanish since I’ve had three years of it

what is the best TEXTBOOK for ap us govt and politics?
what is the best prep book for ap us govt and politics? (self-study)

^ Princeton Review

APUSH - Princeton Review
AP Biology - Cliffnotes
AP Statistics - Barrons
AP Calculus AB & BC - Princeton Review
AP Macroeconomics - Princeton Review

AP Chem - Princeton review is great. I had 1 year of chem before I took the AP exam + I don’t even understand chem. I did all the practice tests and got a 4

APUSH - we used AMSCO in class and it was really good, but I used kaplan to review and it was pretty good

AP micro/macro - I have the Kaplan book and it’s terrible. It has wrong questions and wrong graphs all over the place. WHich is a better one? I want to get PR, but I’m not sure

My class didn’t even cover up to macro. I read PR, and got a 5 on both. :)

My AP Art History supplements Gardner’s (12th edition) with REA and Annotated Mona Lisa. Great combination.
APUSH uses A People A Nation (7th Edition) supplemented with nothing. I need help.

I just got AP prep books for lit and gov.
Ethel Woods for Comp. gov.
Barrons for US gov
PR for eng lit

are those good enough to get 5?
b/c I heard PR is the best for US gov and Cliff for lit…

Ethel Woods (Comp gov) and Barrons (US Gov) are great choices.

Definitely Barrons for US Gov!

What’s the best test prep book for 12th grade AP English?
I saw both AP Literature & AP English Literature so I am a bit confused :o

I also have seen two suggestions for AP Gov: Barrons & PR… Which one is better?

For AP European History check out Modern European History by Birdsall S Viault

The new 2nd edition of REA’s AP Art History book is excellent. The fast review at the end is a big help.

For AP EURO the best review book is Modern European History by Birdsall S Viault

I like Cliffs for AP Bio

what would you recommend for:

AP US-I already have AMSCO but I want a review book, for practice multiple choice and tests…also how about those flash cards they sell??

AP English Language-I REALLY need something to do well, cause I know Im not ready!!

AP Physics C-Im thinking of Princeton review…but I think its B & C, and I only want C

also how good are the 5 steps to a 5?

The best APUSH practice questions are the ones in the 2001 and 2006 released tests. To order go to the College Board’s Online Store.

A1ek, are you worried about the free response or multiple choice questions on AP English language?

The free response questions are released each year and you should be able to download them from AP Central. Some teachers suggest “speed dating” the prompts where you spend 5 minutes per prompt writing an outline of what you would write if you had the whole time. That will give you broad exposure to what has been on the test in the past, without you having to write so many essays.

Be aware that the synthesis question for AP Language is relatively new (2 years now?) You won’t find many examples of that type.

can anyone tell me if i’m good, and if not, then plz add to my list:

currently:
Calc BC: Peterson’s
Physics: Princeton Review
Lang: Cliffs
Psychology: Barrons
US History: Amsco

For APUSH: Amsco + REA’s AP US History Crash Course + www.icue

Is Sparknotes good for AP BIO?
Also, if I read AP BIO sparknotes to review for, should I be ok for the SAT Subject Test?

After hearing great things about Crash Course, I went out and bought it. It really is amazing. It cuts out a lot of useless junk and only focuses on important events that are almost definitely going to show up on the test.
