C’mon guys! Please help me out here! Thanks!

I agree. HELP US!

@aoeder i recommend barrons for comp sci and for stats. i used barrons for compsci(with a class) and self studied stats with barrons and got a 5 on both.

@moose97 i recommend barrons for stats

can anybody recommend books for self studying world history and enviromental science?

AP Calc AB? anyone?

@Wharton: For World History, Princeton Review is definitely the way to go. I studied usIng that, a class and a text and I got a 5. For self study, use the Princeton Review and a textbook. You should be fine. Idk about Environmental Science.

There seems to be alot more questions than answers on this thread O_o

From experience and what I’ve heard from friends:

Calc AB - Princeton Review

World History - Barron’s

Biology - still gotta stick with Cliffs

Statistics - Barron’s

Can anybody suggest a textbook and/or prep book for ap enviro?

Best Review books from the classes I have taken.

AP Enviro: Princeton Review. Hands down. I used Barron’s as well and the majority of the book was not even on the exam, the test questions were not even in AP-style, and it is hard to retain all the info. P.R. really prepares you. The text seems so basic and unhelpful, but that for the most part is the exam.

AP Art History: I used REA and really enjoyed it. Again, I also had Barron’s. Barron’s failed once again and was not helpful. REA writes nice passages that you can use on the essay questions. Barron’s is for quick review of art you do not need to know. REA was really interesting as well!

AP EURO: And… I had Barron’s again. But Princeton Review saved me! I personally liked the writing style of Princeton Review. Instead of a weird timeline with relatively little amounts of information (like Barrons), P.R. wrote nice passages that made me feel like I was really preparing for the exam.

AP World: I was a freshman at the time so I just used Barrons. I have not looked at the other review books.

I did get a 5 on each of those exams and I extensively reviewed all the review books on the market for those tests.

If you have any doubts, go to the book store and open the books! Take CC’s recommendations and test them. I find that for a review book to work for you, the organization, writing, and content is extremely important.

Feel free to message me for more detailed reviews of the books.

I guarantee all these books have the content. It is just a question of what style you prefer.

for psych, its best to get barrons? and for ap human geo… whats the best one? barrons? any others? i heard there were varying opinions on this matter

I’m going to be ordering review books for these exams, and are these the consensus?

Would somebody please elaborate on Peterson’s vs. Princeton Review for Calculus BC?

That index is AWESOME!! I would disagree, though, about U.S. History in the last block. I found the PR book to be amazing and I really think it helped me get a 5 last May.

Can anyone recommend anything for AP English Lit and/or AP Music Theory?

I’m taking the AP Calc AB, AP Compsci A, AP Physics B, and I’ve already found books for those.
I plan to self-study AP Environmental Science, AP Music Theory (I have music background, I don’t think it’ll be too hard?), and AP World History. Does that sound manageable? Do you think I can also squeeze in one more AP to self-study?
For AP Environmental Science, can I just use a test prep book, or do I need a text book too? Recommendations?

does anyone have released ap euro exams?

For APES, all you need is Princeton Review.

AP Us Government Self Study:

Princeton Review, 5 steps to a 5, or Crash Course???

I took AP European History and Government & Politics through an online school. I’m definitely getting the Crash Course books, but I’m torn between 5 Steps to a 5 and AP Achiever. Does anyone know which one is best?

AP French Lit no longer exists I was hoping they would keep it like they did for Spanish…
Also, for AP Chinese, Barron’s is very detailed and in-depth, and it scares some people because it makes the exam seem harder than it is (from what others have told me; I’m using Barron’s right now and some of the sections are insane!); however, you NEED to at least glance over its culture section (DO NOT read the whole section! Even if you have no prior knowledge of Chinese culture, which I doubt, only choose ONE headline from each topic! xD) because AT LEAST half the speaking section is based on culture.
Apparently, there’s this other book called “Remembering the Hanzi” which is better than Barron’s, but I wouldn’t know. xD

I’ve been studying chemistry with Peterson’s Master AP Chemistry and I really love the book!
It explains things really well, and the questions really help you think about what you’re reading and get the concepts. I would recommend it :)

I agree with Barron’s not being the best book for AP Euro history… though it might be because I didn’t have that much time to study as I should have.. (got a 3)

Also, what about “The Annotated Mona Lisa” for AP Art History?
