<p>thanks for the info. blah i hope you guys are right about essays being a lot more important than the GPA & tests!</p>
<p>GPA UW-90.5 (AP’s include euro, u.s, psych, apes, calc ab, lit, stats) </p>

<p>commonapp essay-winning 1st place in the 2002 46th annual World Piano Competition-got the honor to perform at Carnegie Hall & the United Nations (focused more on how my outlook on life changed after the experience)</p>
<p>150 word activity essay-high school hiphop dance team-being co-captain & choreographer</p>
<p>high school activites/awards:
NHS, 1st place high school talent show, Art Award-Teacher’s Choice, latin-Magna Cum Laude award, Valhalla Literary Magazine-co-editor in chief (Gold Award for Best Magazine, Empire State Scholastic Press Association for 3 consecutive years), the Viking Chronicle-Student Life Editor, Model UN, Amnesty International, Diversity Club, pit orchestra (done 4 musicals), jazz band, jazz ensemble</p>
<p>outside activities:
English instructor of a company that teaches kids in China through webcam, Chinese teacher at Chinese School of Rochester, camp counselor-U of R Fun & Fitnesss Summer Camp, piano teacher, tutor-innercity schools (um these add up to about over 200 hours of community service)</p>
<p>if anything, i hope the essays and leadership stuff help make up for the GPA/tests :(</p>
<p>i really need to get going on other college apps…my school counselor & parents are ****ing me off & being too optimistic about me getting into ILR…seriously it’s such a long shot for me. what’s wrong with peopleee</p>
