@mechaas I see ! Are you getting your decision tomorrow? ILR’s acceptance rate is so tricky because it seems high at 40%, but from this thread I can tell the applicant pool is quite competitive and actually very small plus there are guaranteed transfers. You’re also right. In- state’s usually get preference at most universities and ILR is a contract school so it’s probably not an exception. @YonceKnowles you can still contact admissions and explain your situation. I am an ILR applicant, but haven’t contacted the advisor everyone talks about on here. However, somewhere on the Cornell website there is a list of different Cornell administration/ reps that you can contact about transfer/ admission. It doesn’t matter which you really contact if it’s urgent so you’ll get a response quickly. They can provide you with how to get your PIN or give you the right number to call or people to call if they can’t directly help you.
To answer my previous post on why I received two PINs but can’t login after changing password, I think it’s because I’ve applied to Cornell before and also applied to a summer course there. So although Cornell erases all applications after the admissions cycle is over, they probably still keep your PIN and the corresponding email on file.
Same here… but if my memory is correct, during this afternoon like around 12pm, it is said that my decision will be released on 10:00am; however, at around 3 or 4 pm, I checked it again and it has been changed into 9:55 am.
@transferjay@mechaas@transfer6007 Just because you didn’t receive a phone call does not necessarily mean you have been rejected, though it’s certainly a strong possibility. Theres an ILR applicant who posted earlier in the thread that they were interviewed by admissions and I haven’t seen them post about getting a phone call, despite the fact that almost all interviewees it seems are admitted.
HIMYM posted earlier they were getting a decision tomorrow and they were already admitted, so it could be all admitted people. If we knew whether more ILR applicants were receiving their decisions it would paint a clearer picture.
Yes, I guess you have to wait for the next Tuesday, or maybe you can check that portal in tomorrow morning. I mean who knows? Maybe the techsupport has some little mistake : ) still, good luck!
@transferjay Yes, I’m getting my decision tomorrow! Not sure whether 9:55 or 10 though. Yeah, the GT’s and state preference probably skew the numbers severely. I would love to see numbers that are segregated by those criteria.
@jackdub32 Thanks for the bite of positivity! I’m still anticipating that rejection, though. All things considered, this is certainly not the end of the world.
