I’ve got one this afternoon. Now it’s time for me to sleep. I’m gonna miss the big decision release time later this morning (assuming they don’t postpone it). Good luck to everyone!
Good luck, everyone! On finals and admissions decisions!
rejected
Good luck for those who are still waiting!
SAT CR-730 M-780 W-660
SAT2 PHY-800 M2-800 CHEM-780
GPA 4.0/4.0 Australian College
My essay is not well polished, and ec has not much to do with my declared major. Guess that might be the weak part.
Welp, I was denied. For the person that asked for stats:
GPA: 3.79
Chemistry Major at a community college
I work part-time at a hospital, so I guess I’m a non-traditional student. My SAT score was 1770/2400 so its not the best.
I got rejected. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting and congrats to those who got accepted.
Rejected.
Was expecting it, though. My essay was specifically catered for another college.
Anyways, for future applicants:

Hmm maybe it’s a good thing they can’t find my pin
Thinking the same thing @YonceKnowles
I was denied too, wasn’t that much of a surprise, I could have spent more time on my essays. Although I really liked my common app one.

I have basically done everything my campus has to offer, all at once, except for Student Senate, lol! No sleep, no social life, being completely miserable, but still not good enough!
Oh well, good luck everyone and congratulations!! I’m not as devastated as I should have been 1 year ago, of course I’m disappointed, but constantly expecting the worst really helped this time around to embrace the news.
Rejected… Well, I’m really sad, because I have this feeling that all I’ve done doesn’t matter. I know that there are many people with absolutely fantastic stats, so congratulations to them.
Well, it was fun while it lasted, rejected. LOL jk, the anxiety is over (at least for Cornell). Good luck to everyone else in the running though!
Rejected. I’m not shocked, but still quite disappointed! Good luck to everyone else still waiting for decisions and their pins.
My stats for future applicant reference:
Location/ Residency: Out of State
Major: ILR (I am not trying to “sneak into” Cornell. ILR is really the school that interested me the most. I am not sure how well I expressed my “fit” but I do think I fit.)
GPA: 3.7 CC (will get higher after this Spring and is higher considering only courses related to ILR recommended curriculum)/// low for Cornell, but it is higher than most at CC
Transfer level: Junior
Demo/ Hooks: 1st generation college student, lower middle class
ILR recommended Gen. Ed.:
[IP]2 College English courses/// I could have sworn a diff. pdf that I reviewed months ago said English composition + college level speech (in that case, I would have A’s in both)
[X] Two Economics courses
[X] Math///
[IP] Science+ Tech (lists chemistry, biology, etc.)/// I have taken a class similar to evolution and received an A but am currently enrolled in a physical science with lab just in case
[ X] Western Intellectual
[X] ILR elective
Major Courses: (look above)
Work: Part- time – 2 jobs currently
EC: lots of volunteer work with low- income programs, business club, run my own website, + major family responsibilities (EC’S I did not include on my app due to not having substantial hours completed, but mentioned in my essay-- hospital volunteer work and local elections)
Paperwork: submitted everything except my SAT (I took it my junior year in high school& scored 1900s so I figured it’d be too low +irrelevant as I applied for junior level transfer)
Evaluations: 2 pretty strong ones submitted (1 was submitted the “16th” because of the time difference)
Essay: common app essay (8/10) and supplement for transfer (7/10)
Other Schools applied:
Accepted: UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, CSUF
Rejected: Cal Poly Slo, Cornell
Pending: -
Hey guys how do you find when you’ll receive your decision? I’m engineering but I can’t see when on the app status check page?
@newbee18 it’s just through the “forgot your pin” on the decision site. If you get sent a pin then when you login it’ll tell you decision date.
Whew you guys have absurd stats
Don’t know how I’m hanging in here
Now I’m nervous… Best of luck at your other schools. You all have amazing stats
Seems that today is also a rejection day? I’m really sorry hear that. Wish you guys every success in other schools.
