Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

@TiggyB62 Alrighty. I knew it would be one way or another; either engineering is the hardest to get into or the easiest, for some reason I said easiest…ah well

@ArthurDent42 No, of course not! I submitted on November 1st. I’m just experiencing some essay induced anxiety I guess. (Albeit, there’s not much I can do about them now haha)

@NotAMathlete Well I wouldn’t post it if I were you, some lazy RD kid could copy it and use it in RD this year. If that happens, there’s a chance it could come back to you and Cornell could blame you for something you had no knowledge of (plagiarism).

@ArthurDent42 Haha, I was going to suggest using direct message, but thanks for your words of caution!

I hope decisions come out before December 15th haha

@seniorlife555 I want that shirt before school goes on break, wanna show off a little before the holidays!!

@ArthurDent42 Hahaha so true!

@NotAMathlete I’d like to read your essays. Would you look over mine? I’ve been really anxious as well.

Do you think its possible to get into Cornell engineering with only 1370/1600 SAT? I’m kinda nervous, but wont be surprised if i don’t make it.

@ArthurDent42 this thread is literally the meaning of life right now (pg #)

Has anyone checked their application summary? Does anyone have the wrong SAT score report? Somehow my Cornell page does not include my highest scores in all three sections and my subject test scores do not show up as well :frowning: I’m so confused…

@CornMine How do you see your actual score? My application status page just shows check marks next to items they have received. There are no scores being shown.

For me it got the highest math score right, the other two are off.

yah i only see a check mark. not my actual scores

@arulster Same, I check this thread like at least once a day I think haha. I’m so nervous!

@arulster For a few days, yes, it was…not anymore, unfortunately…

@CornMine Definitely email/call Cornell…are you sure you sent all of your SAT scores?

@ArthurDent42 Yes. As shown on my SAT Collegeboard website. Also Cornell doesn’t allow score choice so I’m sure I did and was only able to send all scores to Cornell. That’s why I feel so weird about this whole thing…

@CornMine Oo…yes definitely email them if there seems to be an error on their part…

@ArthurDent42 I even rushed reported it again on Oct 31st after sending a normal report on Oct 23rd just to be sure. Both were sent on Nov 4 and they still missed my SAT subject test scores and my latest SAT October score. UNBELIEVABLE! I’m not an easy-to-stress-out person but this whole situation got me so mad…

Are you guys working on regular decision applications now that your Cornell ED is in? Just wondering
